Default Value of herpa premium 747

There is one local seller in Hong Kong selling an Herpa Premium Lufthansa 747-400 expo livery at around 250usd. I know that Herpa Premium worth a lot and it is a must have for every for every collector, but that model does not come with the original paper box but only the transparent plastic box. Do you think that it would affect the value of that model by a lot? (P.s. I don’t plan to sell that in the future).

Herpa Premiums do not come in a plastic 'box' or cradle. They come in a heavy cardboard box with a black foam insert to protect the model. Regular Herpa 747s do come in a regular cardboard box with a plastic cradle, so unless the seller is using the plastic cradle from another Herpa model for protection, there is something very strange here.

$250 US would be a great price is it is a Herpa Premium, but a little expensive if it is a 'regular' Herpa 747.

That is a VERY good price. I have seen it sell for triple that amount.

That's not a shipping box, it's a display case. I have one for my Herpa Premium KLM 747.

sounds to me like a non premium being sold as a premium. The 747 never came with a plastic hangar. Only way to tell is if the main gears are spring loaded.

Plus, the Premium should come with a 1:200 scale pilot. At least the KLM has one.

I don't doubt that the model is fake because the seller has attached other pictures, including the belly of the model as well as the spring-loaded gear. However, after looking into some posts, I am more concerned about yellowing. I am still 50/50 about whether getting that model or not because, meanwhile, I am interested in getting the SWA/CSN/CEN/CCA 737 Max. Sacrificing one Herpa premium can, in turn, give me four models, which is why i am struggling.

If the model is entirely painted, there is no risk of yellowing.

If some parts are white UNPAINTED plastic, be careful.

I think the seller has misplaced the original cardbox and stored in the plastic box instead. So basically what the whole package had left is only the plane itself.

Just make sure it's not transported that way. With the lid, it's just a hollow box.
