Default 16th Novemeber 2017 Happy 97th Birthday Qantas

Happy 97th Birthday Qantas

A very small few pictures of my collection, and I would like nothing more than one of these Qantas Wet leased Comet 4b and a Boeing 707-138 if they are being released in 2018

I am always amazed by pictures of your Qantas collection, and I admire the consistent dedication it must have taken to assemble such a collection.

Your picture posts are always a pleasure. Thanks Steve for posting.

I see a familiar model in one of the photos.

I hope someone, anyone, will release the Qantas 707 that John Travolta owned and now donated back to Qantas.

Well thank You Aussie Jet , i did not know the wet lease BOAC Comet4 .
QANTAS must have met serious commercial British presures when they chose the 707-138 by the end of the 50s .

Last model on the end in 5th pic. Is that an A380? Kinda looks like one. Great collection btw. I echo Charlie Alphas words on your collection!

Yeah, now that you mention it, looks like a 380 tail.

Thank you to everyone for your support and lovely comments and also to my dear mate Jean Pierre who is currently off line due to some technicalities. I would also like to thank him for reminding me of the importance of the date which did slip my mind. As I said above these are old photos and a lot of models like Wunala Dreaming Nalanji Dreaming and the Go Qantas Wallabies 747-400 are now in diecast. Also there has been a few Inflight 200 747-300's and a very nice polished 747-238. It's very overcast here but here goes, and yes you will seen some A380's

The very talented Bankok Lady La made my Herpa Qantas Catering trucks, Q catering Trucks and the two Herpa Qantas Buses

A few more

By the Way Dennis Qantas wet leased six BOAC Comet 4B's in the early 60's, of which one is up for pre-order G-APDM on ARD website which is very rare. Also Leslie your Inflight oneworld 747-400 is above. The one in the old photo's was mine that I should never have sold thinking JCW would do it.

Thanks Chris and everyone else for for your kind words and I know Jean Pierre will too when he is back online

Always great to see pics of your impressive QF collection as it has been a while. Thanks for posting!

Are you holding off on the QF 787-9 until the real rego (VH_ZNA) is released? Also I have always maintained that we still need a diecast metal Yananyi Dreaming (VH-VXB)!

Very very nice

But there is one advice I have to give to you:

Find another place for your glass cabinet !!!

Because there the direct sunlight will "destroy" your beautiful collection (both... the plastic and also the diecast ones)
