I will definitely get the Southwest 737MAX. Perhaps also the Westjet 737Max. Also looking forward to collecting the Air China 737MAX. Anyway, 737 MAX is certainly the favorite aircraft of 2017.

Good to see a Southwest Boeing 737-700 Missouri One. First State livery model since the Meryland one released long time ago. Hope to see a California and New Mexico or Arizona. How many State ones are out there?
The 737sMax are for sure very attractive. Was hoping for an AA 737-8 Max but the 777-300 is good. Although I wish it were the 200 series.
That Delta MD-88 widget is gonna be a hot seller.
Surprised about the BA 757 and El Al 787 is definitely a surprise.

Yes..good to see another special livery SW, but that -700 mold is less than attractive. Maybe we can hope that it's been corrected.

Someone please correct me. Isn't there already a MD88 Widget with the Olympic sticker on the front near the passenger door out there already? Who made that one. Gemini or JettX?, I believe that was the name of them. Thanks for the info

The BA 757 will be a good addition to the fleet. To date - this one was only available as a StarJets plastic model. Also a new source of donor models for any other "world tail" makers who could not get their hands on the original Union Flag any more.

I hope you are right Travsuz. The early 737-700 and 757-200 molds were without a doubt the best. Despite the dragster look of the 737-700/800 that could be fixed by reparing the landing gears. I miss the 757 landing gear details and spinnable fan blades.

Jet X did make two widget versions of the MD-90 but not the MD-88. The polished belly and the Olympics '96 were really good. They also released two MD-90 current livery versions before Genini did. Long life the maddogs. Hope Gemini can make an AA bare metal vertical stabilizer old cone APU version of an MD-82.

I think that was an MD-90 made by Jet-x, wasn’t it? I will definately get the MD-88. Lets show Gemini that classic models still sell.

I agree. It was only a month or so ago we were told old school models "are duds" and don't pay the bills.

I contacted GJ as a few months ago, if they had any plans on releasing any British Airways with world tails in 1:400.

Though I am glad they released one, I was hoping they were in 1:400 but 1:200 for others will be hit. Even better when its a 757 as they are really hard to come by with world tails!

I didn’t believe it until I saw a picture, but up until now I had no idea the AA MD80 ever had a polished bare metal vertical stabilizer....and this is coming from someone who grew up in the 80’s next to ORD!! I will say that bare metal tail dates the airplane BIG TIME. I don’t care for it much, but an older MD80 with the black nose cone and rounded tail cone would be nice...bare metal tail, ehhh not so much.

I agree, Gemini had a great 737-700 despite the dragster which can be tweaked. Then came that new colors SWA 737-700 and it was pretty bad. The entire front fuselage wings forward was shaped and moulded very badly. Hope they took care of that.

That was fast! It seems like they just put out the hints and the announcement is here already. Anyway, I’m up for the AA 77W even though I have the other registration no., and the WN 737 Max 8. I always end up buying stuff during the holiday season when I should be buying presents.

Interesting, Gemini found it's 737-700 mould again in the basement, where it was collecting dust for the past... how many years?
I hope they did some corrections to the front section.

Looks like the E-195 is supposed to be a new mould and not just an E-190 marketed as an E-195. Glad to see they aren't trying to fool anyone/be cheap like with the E-170/E-175.

Ha! I'd be happy if it never came back unless it's fixed! We'll know when we see the real photos posted. I love the real -700's, and would love to have the new model if re-appears as a new mould.

Delta MD-88 Widget for me. I missed out on the first release (I think both Gemini and Jet-X did their own versions?) so this one is a must.

It is a maybe on the BA 757. I have the original 'Union Tail' so I'm on the fence about this one.

I'm always up for a new 777-300ER, but don't like the current JCW/GJ 777-300ER mold, so it is a pass on the AA for me. I hope JCW/GJ revises the landing gear, high nose and odd engines on their mold because the current one isn't that great. I would start buying their 777 models again if the would just do a few over due revisions to the nose, engines and landing gear.

I agree as well ! Old school old colors.

Although I do appreciate GJ being considerate as not to tempt me to purchase
ANY of their latest releases -thereby saving me money!

If they had released more Boeing 727's -then it would be a whole different matter.

Does anybody have the real pictures from the Boeing 737-8 MAX models from Southwest or Westjet???

I have seen the Norwegian Boeing 737-8 MAX that Gemini has done at it looks great, the only thing is that the WIFI piece above the fuselage is missing, and the colours on the winglet do not match the real Norwegian colours, as well as the registration does not exist. I would love to see a Gemini 200 Boeing 737-800 or 737-8 MAX in the real Norwegian colours!!!!

Regarding the Gemini 200 Boeing 737-700 can somebody confirm they have reshaped the model??? I have the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900ER and it looks great, specially the front part of the plane really matches the real one!!!

It would be GREAT if Gemini could do the Boeing 737-700BCF in the Alaska Airlines Cargo colours!!!!!!

No photo ID required!

Release of a 90's MD-88 'Widget' or the 5th -8 MAX to roll off of the line in Renton, Wa., delivered to WN on 8-28-17 from KBFI, Purely priceless!

I kind of like the mix of new and classic releases

Im not sure you could tell from this angle. To me the issue was more so the underside of the front 1/4 of the aircraft. We would really need a side view to answer the question of whether or not the mold has been revised.

Looking at the pictures posted at Gemini’s website it looks like they have revised the front part!!!! That is just great!!!!

It would also be great if they re-shape the nose on their A320 family, in my opinion the best model out there regarding A320 family and A330/A340 is Hogan, even thought I miss some antennas and more details in the paint of the model, the shape of the aircraft is amazing!!!!!

I can live with the current A320 family, but the 737-700 was just hideous! Way to much point....and the wings had way too much of a swoop up.

I think from the two photos, the nose defiantly has been revised. If it's correct, I don't know. We'll need more photos to be sure.

Also....I think the is the first 737-700 with scimitar winglets. So the wing is new.

The nose on the southwest 737 does indeed look revised.

Ok so after looking a little closer at the pics of the 737 here is what I see based on this angle. It looks like the blue 737-700 without the scimitars might have the messed up nose that we have seen before. Now looking at that 737-700 with the scimitars the nose looks a little “beefier” in that front lower section. So you guys might be right, the one with the new wing may have been tweaked up front as well. As for that regular colors SWA 737, I’m not so sure.

My only two GJ 1:200 757's are the previous Chatham and (retro) Negus releases. Both of which have broken wheel assemblies, due to what I perceive to be inherent weaknesses in the design. I'm tempted by this to replace my Starjets example, but has the construction of the gears improved and can I get some replacements for my broken sets ?

I have a bunch of the GJ 757s. Somewhere around 35. Most pictured in the following threads.

There are some JC, StarJets and others in there too. Of all of them, the GJ gear is definitely the weakest, with about 10 of my models having a main gear problem. I bought some hogan gear as replacements as advised by another thread, but have not had the chance to try them yet as the bulk of my collection is currently in storage because of a move.

The -700 mold certainly does look new. I think we need some side views to see if it is better. I'll reserve my opinion until then. The current (last) -700 mold was supposed to be an improvement too and JCW/GJ hasn't been doing great with redesigns lately.

The Southwest and Westjet scimitar are definitely the old mold. The nose still looks off. You can see it better on the Westjet pics.
