Default Anyone missing JCW/GJ 747-400's 300's 200's 100s?

Just wondering if any of you are like me, that there seems to be a lot a new aircraft models that are coming out like 787's, A350's and very little 747's at the moment. Especially since 747'-400s are coming to the end of the life faster than you can blink your eyes.

Feel free to post what you would like or are missing in any of the "Queen of the skies" Boeing 747 series.

You opened Pandoras box, my friend....

...just a previous statement - the IF200 moulds have some issues which make them a dealikiller for me.

I also don't get the rush to releases these new A350's and 787's. There are so many classics yet to be released. Kalitta 747-200 being one I really want.

Misunderstood. Curious why you and others like the JCW/Gemini moulds better. I have both along with Hogan and Herpa Premium in KLM colors and like them all.

Would like it if IF200 had removable and/tilting bogey gears though.

Inflights 747SUDs always had sanding issues on the hump - it always looks like a small hump on the upper deck. and second the 747 moulds always are printed with slightly crooked window/or cheatlines, and apart from that the engine pylons always kook being oversized, especially the inboard ones - which make the inboard engines hanging too low.

Just got my first 1:200 JC Wings 747-422: N178UA in United Airlines' classic Battleship Grey livery. Beautiful.

This is the aircraft that took me from Narita airport, Tokyo, across the Pacific Ocean to a very wet (aquaplaning) landing in Seattle, on a round-the-world trip just before Christmas 1999.

Good point. I have 15 747s on pre order right now and all of them are Inflight. I do prefer the JCW and GJ moulds and trimmings.

I've been waiting for a KLM 747-400 in delivery colours for what seems like an eternity. KLM has in that time changed their paint schemes not once, but twice. Please JC do this one, preferably PH-BFA, city of Atlanta.

That is exactly the purpose of this thread. So you got 15 747's on pre-order and the are all Inflight/Jfox. I have just only one JCW 747-400D on pre-order & two Inflight 747's. So far GJ200 have released only one Qantas 747 and that is VH-OJA 747-400 and that is it so thanks for that.

Somethings not right in the balance of releases, and the shortfall may well lie above in the posts that you have contributed above. So thank you all for posting so far. Keep them coming. Just seems to be a lot of IF/Jfox 747's and nothing much from the model makers of the title of this thread

I just watched the You Tube United-The Friendship's farewell flight. It was two days ago. I wont post a link but it's pretty emotional. If you want to see it use the bold titles above to search.

A great section from all of your above post. I have another. I would also like a 747-400 Air France non-standard livery. This is F-GETA

If anyone does the EgyptAir and Sabena 747-300s above, I have my doubts they will get the wing/fuselage fairing correctly done
I hope to be proven wrong

Having had many of the 747's pictured in this thread made, I thought I would re-post a message I posted about five years ago. I am at this stage probably now pushing 500 models of planes I have flown, including a lot of additional 747's. I need to update my photos...

Hello:

Was passing by and made a quick visit to the forum and read your thread.

I am wondering why JC nor Gemini have not done yet any of these:

KLM B747-400 90's Livery
Air France B747-400 barcode
Iberia B747-400
Northwest B747-400 last livery
Martinair Cargo B747-400F
Atlas Air B747-400F
Cargolux B747-400F
Kalitta B747-400F

Greetings!

Didnt JC announce awhile back on some Saudi & Pakistani B743s to be released, and two other CX B744s (B-HUI and B-HKT)? Were these already released?

I have never seen a B744 of Cargolux despite the one made some years ago by Hogan Wings. Herpa did the B747-8F and so did JC Wings by doing the "Cutaway", but none CLX B744 has been done in metal. As far as I know.

Not CLX, but CX...as in Cathay.

But I do think JC has a CLX B744F in the pipeline.

Well with that livery, and Hamilton Island as the aircraft namesake, I may be in. Spent several days at Hamilton Island long time ago after a three week trip around your beautiful country.

Hah I can greatly agree with this even tho the 2x 10 windows variant in this livery would also be a big welcome, ya know this one

It's just a must have imo Coz it's just bootifuls

The others I am missing also include some B737SP's actually, anyways here's my missing out on list:

Malaysia Airlines B747-4H6 9M-MHL: "Kuala Lumpur"

It would be AWESOME if JC Wings would make this exact aircraft, it's because I have a very touching memory with it as I flew on it back on 13 & 17 December of 1990.
Flew from Perth Western Australia to Kuala Lumpur, Stayed ther ein the Mariot Hotel for 3 nights/4days, then on December 17, 1990 my parents & I flew from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to Colombo
There the Captain arranged a private tour under the belly of the beast, along with the landing gear & Engines I even touched the Queen's belly was an amazing day, from Colombo we ventured forth to Zurich Iw as invited to join them in the cockpit stayed there for like 2 hours and from Zurich we flew on to Amsterdam and I was re-invited to stay for an other hour for good company

So yes 9M-MHL means a lot to me just for this memory.

KLM B747-406M PH-BFT;

KLM/Air-France Livery:

KLM Wave Livery:

My Father flew on this aircraft about 12 times in business Class as he also hired it for his work to transport test equipment during his project in Sint Maarten, their main communications center had a fire and an acid incident. He was sent there to inspect and take samples and test equipment up and back from Sint Maarten to NL and back.

Nippon Cargo Airlines B747-8KZF/SCD

My friend Lou Boyer flies on this just as reputation to my friend Captain Lou

Others are:

Aerolineas Argentinas B747SP-27

Pan American World Airways B747SP-21 Billboard Livery

South African Airways B747SP-44 1970's Retro Livery, forgot the name of it

Irish Aer Lingus B747-148 the 1970's livery the first impression.

Ansett Australia B747-312 "Sydney 2000 Livery"

Qantas B747-338 "Rio 2016 Olympic Livery" The Wunala this was if I recall.

Korean Air B747-8B5

And yeah that is about it for now, but yeah would be fantastic if JC Wings could make any of these, or all to make more interesting
