That is one fine looking Air Canada model! Congrats to you on your newest 1/200 model and kudos to Threshold for coming through for you! Thank you for sharing your photo/model on the DAC. T7

Just wanted to clarify with the OP that the model shown is actually a 1/400 model? Thank you, T7

Nice little birds. Unfortunately I need to order them from Canada to complete my CRJ 1/200 collection.

The only links I see for this model is in 1/400 scale or am I missing something? Since this thread is in the 1/200 section.

I think, you missed this. It's not Gemini.

Are you able to post any more photos of the model? Side angles especially and maybe one head on? I wanna get a better look at this model before I buy the others

This is a great new! I hope to see this model released in an European livery. By picture model seems very good and well detailed.

I could be wrong, but the nose gear strut seems pretty long? Anxiously awaiting more pictures to see! Looks fantastic though, and definitely one of the more needed molds.

Wake up T7 I reported on this back in August:

HYJLwings: First CRJ in 1/200 Scale - Yesterday's Airlines

Definitely 1:200 scale and not just 1 release either.

Yikes! My 1/200 radar must have been disabled/not functioning last August? I will now take the necessary steps to get onboard with this model. Wish me luck. Cheers! T7

More photos. Yes, it's 1:200. It looks a lot like a Gemini/JC mould to me, and it comes in a wooden box.

True. I wonder if this manufacturer had worked with Gemini or JC Wings in the past? Interesting and unique with the wooden box packaging. Thank you, T7

Can we get some profile shots from the side? The nose gear appears too long. Hoping they come out with Jazz liveries.

It is my understanding that this manufacturer has rolled out 3-4 different paint jobs for this model. Yep, the Jazz livery is included. Cheers! T7

Yes! Let’s see some profile pictures of it, would love to see what the gear looks like.

One of them is Air Canada Express operated by Jazz, however I'm hoping for the original Jazz schemes with the four different colors.

At least they are not color-blind like some other big manufacturer.

I also have it in the old Air Canada livery. Here is a side picture of it if you want to see the height of the nose gear.

Sweet photo. Just curious if that nose gear on your model is a bit loose? Thank you, T7

Actually looks very good! Wow! I mean the nose gear may be on the longer side but it’s still representative I think.

True. I was wondering if the nose gear was partially inserted (based on how it is bent in the photo), and if it was sticking out a bit that would explain it's longer length.

Looks excellent! Also a nice detail that the antennas aren't huge.

Looks like the Old Livery is sold out on Threshold. I imagine the others will be gone soon too if there were in fact 60 units per release.

It's actually not loose, but glued at a not-so-perfect angle. It does not really bother me, though, since overall, it looks like a pretty good representation of the actual plane.

Ah ok. Thanks for the update. If you want to fix the angle of the nose gear, I suggest you look up certain theads on the DAC that covers 'DIY' repairs. There are plenty of talented/skilled DAC collectors that have posted threads on how to modify/change specific parts on their models to their liking. But, if you are with the nose angle as purchased; that's all that matters IMO. Yep, I will be retrieving my models later this month. Cheers! T7 (Again, thank you for posting this thread with your pics; I owe you one! )

Also, my motto along with some others on the DAC is 'Buy what you like, Like what you buy' and don't take anything personal when others may post negative comments on your models that you share on the forum.

Interesting releases. Seen them before (the announcements) but not the actual models.

Still waiting for my only desired CRJ200... United Express CRJ200 in post-merger colors.

Interesting. I wonder if there are more than 60 of each release, or if they are releasing them in intervals to keep demand up?

A CRJ-100/200 in our scale at last! Thank you for making me aware of this release! I'll be very happy when this little gem lands in my collection after it's transatlantic flight.

I received mine last night and the gear do seem to be on the longer side. I’m curious to know what others thing, but besides the gear, the mold is a winner. Top notch

Guessing they initially didn't anticipate a big demand for them. But after the crazy feeding frenzy on them; they decided to fire up the factory again and roll some more out. T7 (betting they are going to push out more airlines that flew the CRJ-200, somebody should start a DAC poll on which airlines to do next, based on this newbie company checking out the DAC 1/400 and 1/200 sections)

I think they most likely listed a certain number and then relisted addiontal models after the first bit sold out. The model is damn near perfect, but the gear represent what the plane would look like taking off and landing. Not nearly compressed enough to look like it’s on the ground.

They finally arrived today. Here are some quick snapshots. I can take some more on the weekend, if anyone is interested.

Congrats Deadlef! Those are some fine looking models you picked up. I will be scooping up mine in a few weeks to add to my AC fleet. Nice photo layouts you took of each of them. I like all the different angles and comparision pics. What are your thoughts on the mint toothpaste color? Did they get it right or close enough? Also, I have a feeling that Gemini may be rolling out these CRJ-200 birds as well, based on their 1/400 release. Cheers! T7 (Again, thanks for sharing your photos)

The toothpaste color looks really good. Seems to be the same color that Herpa used for their Q400. Regarding the antennas they are as sloppy as Gemini. There's not one model without a missing antenna. If you look at the pylons from the back, they are not painted cleanly. I'm also not sure, if the T-tail is modeled correctly. Other than that it's a nice little model.

I have two extra Air Canada CRJ's white colour with number cards. Always ready to trade for a Malev One World 737.
