Recently I managed to acquire a unicorn from a seller in Hong Kong, and for a very reasonable $200 as well: the Gemini 200 Pan Am L-1011-500!
To celebrate, I wanted to share a few photos of this prized and beautiful model together with one of her cousins, the G200 Delta -500.
I bought the Delta bird from a fellow DAC'er some time ago, and I love this model, but the Pan Am Tristar is on another level altogether. A lot of forumers, claim that this model is one of the finest in 1:200 scale, I have to say, I'm also in this camp. I can't really see anything wrong with it and I'm so happy to have one join my collection. I don't buy as much nowadays, and this was one model I always liked but almost accepted I'd never own, so when one came up on eBay for the price, I didn't waste time to buy it.

Thanks guys! Yeah Robert, I've seen the Landor pop up from time to time, eventually I'd like it, and also a JC Wimgs BWIA -500 which I think is the same mold anyway.

Didn't acquire the DL -500 for the same reason why Vertigo sold it later on. The Pan Am is one great model, love it. Same goes for the United -500 by Gemini.
By the way, JC Wings did a great job on the BWIA TriStar too. Gemini screwed up several L-1011s, though. Just thinking of the Delta -500 as well as the British Airways releases. Was a real shame
