The LTU is a must have, would have preferred the old livery though. No idea why they went with that one. I will always remember LTU for their old livery and not this one. Might get the Pan Am as well.

Get the Herpa one if you're still able to find it. It's better than it's reputation.

How is the KLM 747 a -200 model? Looks like -300/400 upper deck to me.

Fine, I'll go to Airliners.net. Be right back...

I think it's funny that they put release as September....everyone knows that Inflight never releases models that fast....it'll be 6 months at least. :-)

Nice one, the Boeing 737-8 MAX House Colours N8704Q is the Farnborough plane with the "100 Years of Boeing" beneath the cockpit windows.

Does anyone have the IF200 737-8 MAX in the test flight livery? There was a post showing pictures before it was released and the feedback wasn't positive from memory. Wondering if JC will do the same livery eventually.

As a KLM lover, must have the SUD. Strange though that they still havent released a standard 742 in blue colours... but must say nice releases think I might go for the LTU aswell...

Personally, I can live with the current Inflight nose. Although not really accurate, it will do for me but a new nose would be better.

To be a correct 707-320 though, I think Inflight would need to design a new wing. I believe the wing for a 707-320 and the 707-320B and 707-320C is different than a 707-320 wing.

i thought about the fuselage...the fuselage of the 300 (i assume it is no 320, as IF would have named it 320) it looks more like a -121 with ventral fin length wise.

I think the listing is a mistake. There was no 707-300. The 300 series was actually called the -320 series, the Intercontinental version of the 707 for which Inflight already has the mold.

This Boeing 707 belongs to the Series 320 and is a -320, not a -320 B or C.
He has the PAN AM livery but was initially made for TWA.
31 is the customer code for TWA.
So the correct designation for this aircraft is B 707-331, not B 707-300.

As usual, the model which is supposed to represent a -320 will be fitted with the wing of a -320 B which is completely different.
The entire wing needs to be reworked.
Inflight knows that.

So this model is inaccurate.
So far, the best-320 ever released is the Herpa model.

Important note :
In the 320 family, you have four types, B 707-320, B 707-320 B, B 707-320C and B 707-320 B Adv.
It would have been easier if Boeing had called the first one B 707-320 A but they didn't.

Once again I attach an excellent document published by AIRLINERCAFE.COM, it shows the different wings planforms.

Jean Pierre.

The PH-BUN indeed had a polished belly after her SUD conversion at Boeing. That in combination with darker blue logo on the tail. ARD released the 300 model with polished belly. The first two 300 releases by inflight were the "click" version and the other one the exact same colors as this new release. The only (not noticable?) Difference is that this model is a 200 SUD and the other ones 300's. Would be nicer if they had released the BUN 200 before the conversion (GE engines and twenty window upper deck). Think they wanted to do this livery because of the fact that this airframe was the very last classic 747 to fly for KLM and thus marking the end of an era....

I don't know if this is ending high because of the fact it's an Air Jet Advance or because of the airline/livery, but I wish we'd see it in 1:200. (That doesn't look like an Air Jet Advance stand.)

I just performed my post flight delivery inspection on a copy of the JCW B738 MAX (N8702Q, Factory L/N: 5668-1A002) in BCA Flight Test livery. I'm hoping that the IF200 offering will be just as nice, if not better than the JCW's 1A002. We'll soon see, esp. with all of the available liveries to do. Very sharp model indeed. I only wish I had a good camera and knew how to post pics here on DAC to share this very smart looking bird.

After spending the better part of the last three years testing these 1:1 birds, JC did a very descent job depicting the new subtle details of the new MAX (CFM LEAP-1B27G05 Turbofan, Nacelle, Winglets, APU Exhaust Nozzle/Tail Cone, 48 section). The new Nacelle is very, very close. The one and only squawk was that the SAT-COM antenna is only painted, flat w/o a raised contour, Highly recommended though otherwise, I haven't seen a JG200 rendition of the new MAX mold as of yet. Waiting patiently for the new SWA (WN) livery on a B737-8 MAX rendering.

Regards,

I did, too. Mainly L-1011, DC-10, 727, and 747. They were my foray into aircraft model collecting (aside from kits and the Cheerios Pan Am 747 model). This is the first one I've seen with a wooden stand. Learn something new every day.

Just noticed that the LTU 330 has the wrong engine. Pictures are GE engines but LTU operated PW on theirs.
