I was having a discussion with a friend of mine, and I was wondering the answer to this question.

Thanks

Don't forget the original Southwest Canyon Blue 737-700.

But I have to agree with the American Airlines polished 757-200 as probably the most popular.

Mexicana 727-200.
KLM Fokker 100.
Delta 757-200, 727-200 widget.
United 757-200 blue tulip.
Lufthansa 747-8is (retro and current liveries).
Etihad A380.
Air Force Two 757.
IMHO.

The AA 757 and Delta 727-200. Because I still don't have them, and want them badly!

I think the AA 727 is probably the most sought after these days. I don't consider the Susan G Komen since it wasn't an official release. Others that haven't been mentioned yet would probably include the FedEx 727.

I think even more rare which no one is mentioning (shows how rare it is ) is the US Airways 757-200.

I have the opportunity to get the first AA 737 polished and was wondering what would be a good price to pay for one?

Most coveted GJ's (by me) are my North Central CV-580 and DC-9-30.

Most coveted on my wish list is the AA 727-200.

Make sure it's not a tail sitter! Notoriously bad for sitting on it's arse that model.. also, it tended to look like a dragster when it was nose down..

I was lucky and grabbed the A321 for a steal on eBay a year, but have given up on the Chatham 757, opted for the Starjets one for £20 and it doesn't look out of place

Congrats man, the old Gemini A321 mould is a really good one with more accurate nose shape and drilled APU. As I known, Starjets is a resin model, isn't it? Maybe it is just an alternative to me.

The starjets is resin and looks good. The only thing that isn't brilliant is the cockpit windows, they haven't quite caught the shape right, but then neither did JC Wings with the Landor version.

I remember some years ago the original SWA canyon blue was extremely sought after. AA 757 and 727 would also be hot items. Anyone of these would likely fetch a good amount on eBay. Rarely do they even show up on eBay now so it's tough to even say what they would go for.

I have always wondered, what makes a particular model very sought after? While some from the same month, collect dust on store shelves. Take the Delta (widget) B757. Very popular. I don't think I should list the shelf warmers, but we all know what they are. I was offered $400 USD for my Pan Am L-1011 not long ago. Declined.

-Eastern 757.
-the US Airways 1549 a320 is always a popular one too. US Airways stuff in the regular final livery is getting harder and harder to find.
-United blue tulip 757 & a320 is another pair I would love to have but I'm not parting with $200+ for either of them.

Wait a minute. I just realize there are two different registrations of the Mexicana 727-200. Therefore, they have different names. Am I wrong? You have the one that doesn't appear on Gemijets website. Were there two different releases of this model?

The first of a mound or livery seems to always sell well. The UPS MD-11 and 767 have been widely available for a while but the 757, A300, and 747 are all gone. The 757 was the first UPS release and the A300 and 747 were the first of those types for Gemini. The FedEx 727 was the first for both. The United 767-300 Blue Tulip used to fetch more money that it does now and that was the first 767.

After over a year of searching, I finally found one in mint condition earlier this year! I would agree this one seems to go pretty quickly when they become available.

I keep wanting to do a custom A300 but I keep waiting instead hoping someone will finally make it instead. I didn't really want to get the Hobby Master A310 but I actually have one coming tomorrow because I figured that one is even less likely to come out again. I would prefer an "Express" only one rather than the "Federal Express" subtitles but I'll live.

I just realize that too. I never heard about that model on Gemini's site. Must be a change of registration before the final production or something else because as far as I know there is only 1 version for that B727. Just checking with a friend of mine, there is also a typo error on the box. If you have that model the box says it is the XA-MEZ but actually is the XA-DUK. Similar error like the Lufthansa A380.

According to Gemini200 database, there is a XA-MEZ named "Queretaro" but the one I have is XA-DUK "Cozumel" and that one doesn't appear there. Something weird!

I agree with you about the AA 727 being the most sought after !

It was certainly a most attractive model -I don't have it though !

I would rank all of my AA MD-82, B722, B738 and renderings tarnished or not in the highly coveted category, only due to personal, sentimental attachment (my original release DAL L-1011 Widget is a close second) I certainly wish GJ's would do a MD-88 Widget that is my utmost Holiest of holy grails. I know Jet-X one, but I much rather prefer the GJ200 mould.
