Does anyone know if there will be re-issues for the Gemini 1/200 of these or any other manufacturers that may do them?

Would like them to do the Lufthansa D-ABYP, the 1.500th 747 built. Would be a quick sell out!

If I remember it correctly, someone wrote here on the forum that the LH licence is quite expensive and that Gemini had it for a year or so.

And that this is why they released one LH model after another that one year.

So not sure if they'll do them again, but maybe JC Wings, who knows.

Ok I didn't know that. Interesting stuff. That explanes why the releases were so quick after another. I did receive an email from herpa sometime ago that they (herpa) only produce lufthansa models if they ask them to do so.

Would love to know more over how these things work between manufacturers and the airlines.

I still see Herpa 747-8s for sale. How does that mold compare to the Gemini? I assume they're plastic.

The Herpa 747-8i is plastic and is a nice model, but the diecast one is a little better IMHO because of the added printed details and slightly smaller antennas. Still the Herpa is a nice model if it is the only one available for a reasonable cost.

Agreed it is a very nice model for it's price. Especially the latest releases with sat dome antenna.

I remember quite recently the Gemini Jets went on to a talk show where they said something along the lines that 1000 models of each are made and that is. THey won't make any more.
I think it's on their Facebook page, the link to the video.

It is actually possible that they release the Lufthansa A380 and 747-8 again, as long as those releases have different registrations from the old ones.

I would say that it is more than probable to see a new release of Lufthansa A380 in the future. Just as you know, the old one was released a few years ago. Also, Lufthansa is still going to fly A380 at least for a decade. Therefore, it is not a matter of whether the LH A380 is going to be released again. Instead, the question should be asked, when the A380s are going to coming out.

In that case a new Lufthansa 748 is also possible. I don't think Lufthansa will get rid of them in the next decade either.

D-ABYP would be very interseting, not only for LH collectors but for 747 lovers aswell as it is the 1500th 747 made.

One question to ask. If the 747 release is the Fanhansa livery, would you be that interested?

This would also be welcomed, except maybe the Fanhansa Siegerflieger might be a good one also

I just watched the interview. They mention they went into manufacturing. Do they actually manufacture, or does JC Wings do it for them? I read the latter.
