Well, advanced Happy Canada Day to all on the DAC. Canada will be turning 150 years old on July 1st. I will be heading to the nation's capital of Ottawa to do some family camping and also celebrate with about 1/2 million another folks to ring in Canada Day. Thought I would share some photos of my latest Air Canada model from the fine folks at Inflight 200 to kick off the 150th Canada Day! It's been quite awhile since I last acquired an L-1011 model. I kinda like this retro livery compared to the new one. Cheers! T7 (yes, natural lighting was used for the photo shoot)

Hmm. Guessing they were trying to air out the cabin and bring in some fresh air; don't think they had Febreeze spray at the time.

btw: why is the air lanka livery basically the same as air canada?
did air lanka buy old canadian jets and tried to get away with as little repainting as possible?

As I understood it the plane was leased t Air Lanka and came back hence the hybrid livery. It's pretty much a Air Lanka livery with maple leaf and Air Canada titles.

Oh right, the common Air Canada livery was little different, didn't notice that.
However, I like this Air Canada version better.

The L1011 is one of the best airframes to ever where the classic Air Canada all red livery.

My favorite AC livery is the combo of dark and medium red.

I agree with you on this very sharp retro livery from AC. Sweet on the eyes!

Yeah, the Tristar really makes the AC retro livery stand out on the tarmac and in the skies! Hope to see AC roll out one of their birds with an AC retro paint job for the plane spotters.
