Default Trijet Love

I've gotten rid of a few trijets over the last year in an effort to downsize to what I really want to collect and these are the survivors. It's too bad so few are left these days.

Love the FedEx 727-200F. The AA 727-200 is also amazing. Wish Gemini 200 could release more 727s. The mold is great. Great tri-jet collection!

Yeah, I had the AA at one point but sold it. I only got it because I thought it was cool but it wasn't cool enough for me to keep at it's going rate. If they release it again then I'll buy it.

Always loves the 727-200, thanks for sharing! I also have the Jet-X Continental red meatball too and really like it.

Still don't understand why they haven't made an Amerijet 727F and CargoJet 727F. Both are still active!

Probably licesing issues. I'd love to see the Amerijet, DHL (yellow livery) and LLoyd Aereo Boliviano as well.

That model was and still is one of the most sought after ones. Agree with you on a re-release. Or a variant 100 series will be welcome as well.

Lovely tri-jet collection. Faves are the TWA twin-stripes, Pan Am, and Delta widgets.

Love trijets. 727 is my favorite, but they are all on top of my list. Thanks for sharing.

edit - saw a FedEx MD11 taking off from Charlotte as I was sitting in morning traffic last week. People around me probably wondering why I was so excited and staring at it. Was not sure they still used any MD11s. Hopefully I was not imagining that 3rd engine. lol

Awesome collection. Have to say I do like the 727 as well, one of the classic airliners of all time.

There's plenty of them. The DC-10's are slowly thinning but what's funny is that the -30's seem to be going away faster than the -10's.

A piece of aviation history these trijets an love them all. My first trijet trip was Continental DC10 Sydney To Honolulu. Then Australian Airlines 727's in Australia. I also flew on a Delta 727-200 from Seattle to Lax after the Boeing factory tour in 1996

My first DC-10 flight was Continental ORD-LAX. I won a contest to predict the exact time we'd cross the Continental Divide. The prize was a free Hertz rental for a weekend, but I was only 18 and you had to be 21 to rent a car. Still have the boarding pass and car rental coupon.

yeah the famous Diesel 10, i sure miss here more so than the newer MD-11... my first trip on the DC-10 was in '92 flying from AMS to AGP in Spain, same year of the crash of Flight 495... the only trijets i never flown on were the L-1011 & Tu-154...
