Default DC-10-10 vs -30 IF200

Hey guys, just wondering does IF200 accurately model the difference in wingspan between the DC-10-10 and the DC-10-30? The -30 has a 1.5m extension of each wingtip over the -10.

Can someone please measure wingspan of their -30 to see how close it is to the actual -30?

Thanks,
James

Hello James,

I have Inflight's DC-10-30 Alitalia, where the span is correct, and a DC-10-10 Mexicana which has the same span, i.e. for this DC-10-10 the span is too large.
No idea whether they changed it with newer models but I'd be grateful to know if there are any correct DC-10-10s out there.

regads,
Tobias

It is another aspect of the "one-size-fits-all" policy.

DC 10, B 707, Comet.

Collecting different types of aircraft rather than liveries, for me "one size fits all" means I'm not getting more than one. I'm happy to buy all variants in spans, fuselage lengths, engine types, winglets ... but if they all have an average span, length and the same 'averaged' engines, I won't.
Maybe it's my individual predilection so I can't say whether the overall result - cost per model vs. number of models sold - is more profitable for the manufacturers.
