If Gemini is going to release another Emirates aircraft, why not maybe the 777-200LR instead of this A380...

Nothing for me but can see how some releases can make collectors happy!

Please revise the nose shapes on the A320 and B737 series though!

I would be in for the Norwegian 737..... depending on price. Models are becoming way too expensive

Well, I am actually disappointed when GJ is releasing another EK A380

As previously mentioned, even GJ is releasing another EK model, that candidate could be other unreleased models, such as the 777-200LR, 777F, or 747 sky cargo but mot the A380. Enough is enough

At least it looks like a different reg to the original release (AWNA) and the polished recent release (AWNB). The picture is not clear, but I am guessing AWNF.

Shame they did not do this version...

Perhaps you should ask Emirates. They are the one that placed the order not Gemini!

Wellll, it is Gemini Jets, an American based company. Never understood why we have to see this same complaint in every Gemini release thread. I don't remember seeing the same complaint in all the other companies release threads when an American carrier being in the releases is as good as never.

Annnyyyway, as far as the releases nothing for me, but that JetBlue one will be pretty cool. I sort of wish Gemini would stop including all the Emirates airline orders with the rest of the releases.

BOAC is nice, but I already have the old school IF200 version, tho I guess this does have a polished belly.
I laughed at the EK whale, but yeah, another company order. I too agree that a 77L would be a nice release, especially now JC have made a nice mold although I'd prefer an Etihad on this frame myself.
JetBlue looks cool, but not in my criterea, so all in all, another months saving for me, as I imagine the BOAC 747 is gonna be around £150.

I'm surprised none of you guys with the IF200 BOAC seem interested in upgrading to the GJ new release. Surely it's going to be of higher detail standards and nicer packaging. I do that whenever possible. If a nicer and newer release comes out I always will sell the less superior one. If you're good about it you can even do it at no cost. Sell the old one for same or more than what the new GJ one costs it's a win win.

Yeah, I don't get the Amazon reference at all. It's not like the first one sold out so the whole rush to get her seems a little optimistic. Plus, why would you run to Amazon to find a sold out model?

They are and they stick to their comfort zone, which is a shame. It gets old very quick seeing the same airlines every month. Especially since there are so many untapped liveries out there that could appeal to many more countries.
I have no problem that an American company manufactures American models but moderation would be appreciated. A non-winglet version and then the same model with winglets and then a new registration and a new colour scheme of the same airline.... These models shouldn't even be announced. They should just be restocked on GJ's website because they've already almost all been previously released for the most part.

Thank goodness JCW is around to add some excitement!!

American based airlines represent the large majority of the entire global fleet. Even UPS, whose air volumes compared with FedEx are significantly smaller, has over 200 mainline aircraft making it among the world's largest (I think 9th if memory serves me correctly). I like JC too and I'm glad they cast a wide net but there's a reason why 1-2x a year they have fire sales and can find most of their stuff for 50-70% off.

And that is how you get some amazing models for a reasonable price!! Can't complain about that!

I was really hoping that we would see a re-release of the AA 727. I was told a while back that they probably won't do that though since American hasn't requested it. Does anyone know who you would contact at AA if you wanted to try and persuade them to ask GJ to make more models?

Very nice releases as always, many thanks Gemini Jets!
A nice diversity with 3 American carriers, 4 European, and 2 Asian carriers.
Personally I have nothing against those EK A380's or 773's popping up either,
it would be so cool to have them all, lined up with different reg numbers
(I have only one, the first A6-EDE though). Fascinating

I am a bit tempted by that Norwegian, just wonder if LN-MAX will be the
actual reg nr. of the real plane or not..

Emirates had at least 2 company stores in DXB last time I was through there, and other Emirates merch (including models) get sold at throughout the duty free area. They also have 4 other company stores in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. The prices for models seemed to be on par with a discounted price you would get from diecastairplane or eztoys. They did have some cool, older plastic snap fit models that are harder to find online like the black a380.

Also that JetBlue is not in my wheelhouse but it is a really cool livery so I will probably pick it up. RJs don't take up too much space on the shelf

I'm thinking it may refer to how passenger 767s get picked up by cargo airlines when they are retired

Why can't they bring out a classic 747 that hasn't been made before? I have the polished BOAC from ard/inflight and will not sell it for the newer one and am sure many collectors will do the same...

They must make more profit by releasing a 747 that hasn't been made before...like for instance :

Sabena 747-100 delivery with polished belly
KLM 747-200 blue colours with polished belly (6 window upper deck)
KLM 747-200 blue colours with polished belly (20 window upper deck )
KLM 747-400 delivery colours

Why can't they bring out a classic 747 that hasn't been made before? I have the polished BOAC from ard/inflight and will not sell it for the newer one and am sure many collectors will do the same...

They must make more profit by releasing a 747 that hasn't been made before...like for instance :

Sabena 747-100 delivery with polished belly
KLM 747-200 blue colours with polished belly (6 window upper deck)
KLM 747-200 blue colours with polished belly (20 window upper deck )
KLM 747-400 delivery colours
I am not in the market for the BOAC 747, but there a lot of collectors who may have missed it when ARD released it. When I first came into the 1/200 field, I found a lot of models I wanted had already come and gone. It's nice to give others a chance to get what they may have been looking for.

ARD have it for £129.95 (£110 with your club discount).

no, that is about the 'proper' RRP. but are £149 on their site. you get 6% off if email subscriber. and 10% if you join their rewards programme. Malcolm said they just cannot compete on IF releases. ARD have now listed it. £129.95 less 15%
= £110.41!

Does anyone know if the final product of the Allegiant A320 contains the registration number on the fuselage. I noticed that the drawing does not contain a registration number.

Maybe next month we'll finally see renderings of a Finnair MD-82 O/C's and or a Frontier 'Saul Bass' MD-82. Hint, hint......

Still though there are some pretty interesting releases, with a wide variety of carriers/airframes. I'll probably pre-order the Norwegian 738MAX, who could miss the first revenue release. That BOAC 741 looks like she'll be quite the pretty bird, I'm tempted. Time to start building European Fleets.

Looks like you are a bit of a KLM fleet builder.... some of us are even worse and will collect 2 or 3 of the same plane with the same livery as long as they are from different manufacturers or have different reg numbers. This will be my 4th "vanilla" BOAC; the original IF, the Skymarks, the polished ARD and now the Gemini.
