I recieved my copies on Saturday along with the Gulf Air 50th anniversary A330. The SAA is beautiful but I was blown away by the detailing on the AIr India which is my fave of the three I recieved. Great job Inflight.

Air India looks very nice indeed. I have the original release 747-300 which I am happy enough with, I am picking up the SAA bird though!

Lovely models Steve. As you know I got the SAA, but i'm not sure if I want this Air India 747-200 or the JCW Air India 747-400.

Most definitely ! I couldn't agree more.

I don't understand why any of the producers of polished finishes have not
polished the engine nacelles as well

I have been waiting for engine polish finish for a long time and wondering why Inflight upgraded their general multi purpose 747 /s mould for polish finished models and still pump out 747's RR engines on the 747-100's and 747-200's old school style (plastic engines with metallic metal flakes) finish. I sold my very first Inflight 747-238 to get the new polished belly only to find the engines have not changed. Disappointing when so much details go into the liveries & tempo printing and antenna's, Sat domes etc and wheel rims and tyres and nice new display stands, and yet the engines have not changed.

Inflight did change to polish engines on this Qantas 747-200 with this Rolls Royce RB211's so they can do it right?

Aussiejets, thanks for posting the picture as this is exactly what I had in mind when commenting. My Qantas looks so nice with the polished engines. I also sold most of my original Inflight 747's to get the polished belly releases, but regret it! With the originals where everything was painted at least it looked consistent.

It would be nice to see polished JT9Ds, we have polished CF6s and RB211s so naturally we should also be seeing the PW variety polished no?
