Question Hogan 1:200 737-800

I'm not really familiar with the plastic Hogan 1:200 737-800 mould but do they share it with the Gemini 200 737-800 version or is it one of their own?

I'm asking this question because i want to purchase this Hogan 1:200 KLM 737-800 below...

I don't know if they share the same basic mold or not, but the Gemini version will give you much more detail. So if you like better gear, antennas etc, stick with Gemini for that.

I have the same model from Gemini and it's really done well.

Yes, but the GJ version of this livery is sold out and can be difficult to find. (Though I believe ARD has one for $100 (vs. $32.50 for Hogan).) What's available now is the new livery.

I have a Hogan B744 KLM Cargo, and it is really well done. Great quality for the money. Didn't realize the Gemini 738 was that much more. I'd go for the Hogan then.

Both the Hogan model and the Gemini one have their strong points and weaknesses.

The Gemini model has more printed details, antennas and a jeweled beacon on the fuselage, but I don't particularly like the cockpit window printing and the nose shape is kind of hit or miss.

The Hogan model has less printed details, but I like the shape of the fuselage and window printing. You can add antennas if you want. There is quite a bit of detail on the wings of the KLM 737-800 too. And the Hogan model has something the Gemini doesn't; it is readily available.

I included a few cell phone pics to give you some more to compare.

Thx you guys for the feedback but i'll just purchase one to compare with the Gemini 200 737-800 version... but this Hogan 1:200 737-800 sure looks nice for a high end plastic model...

I have the Hogan one. Yes it is a little bit less detailed, but mould is very very good (as most of Hogan mould, it one of the better you can find).

I have many Hogan 200 models, including several KLM. They are nicely done. You won't be disappointed. Hit the "Buy" key.
