Default Gemini G2ACA403 Bombardier CRJ-705 Air Canada Express

Gemini200 G2ACA403
Bombardier CRJ-705 Air Canada Express, C-GDJZ

A few pics of my CRJ-705, it is a small model and looks quite neat. Very nice detailing with the tampo printing. One of Gemini's best models I think.

They really are lovely little models. Still hoping for a Lufthansa one and a CRJ200 mould.

Very nice pictures. For me, the CRJs are some of the best.

I have several (or is it all? ) Air Canada 'toothpaste' livery models and it's great to see other collectors post/share pictures of their AC G200 'toothpaste/silver sky or sky silver' on the DAC. For some reason, this AC livery has a 'love/hate' reaction to the collectors. Count me in for the 'love' camp. Appreciate you taking the time to take some excellent photos of the model from different viewing perspectives. Cheers! T7

Lovely model! I've never seen a CRJ 1:200 in person but it looks highly detailed!!

Do you have any top down pictures of it next to a larger model for size comparison?

Thanks for posting!!

I could post photos of mine next to a whale, the A380 or the Queen B747-8. But, I let the OP take on your request. I think he's probably catching some sleep at the moment. T7

Feel free to post your photos. Usually I post review threads and all comments (positive or negative) or other pics of model are welcomed. Wish I was catching some sleep, I was over at the in-laws

Thank you for the all clear to post some photos. Too funny that you had to endure the in-law visit. Glad you made it thru A-OK! I first have to post some 1/400 photos for Phoenix issues, and it's not looking good for the AirSerbia A330 I purchased.

The OP gave me the all clear to post. Per your request. I couldn't decide which one to post, so I decided to go with both the A380 and B747-8. Hope you like the pics? T7

Wow!! That is one heck of a small model then! Thanks so much for the shots! I love the CRJ, but I love buying the widebodies as I feel you get more details for your buck? For example, I could get a widebody for 140$ meanwhile a narrow body might be around 90-100$ but much much smaller.

Would you recommend getting some narrow bodies for the fleet? The only thing I dislike is the stand seems flimsy. Unless you get a JCW model - it comes with a similar wooden stand as I've seen in pictures.

Yeah, the CRJ is quite a much smaller bird. You are welcome about providing the pics in this thread. I picked up this AC CRJ for about $55 Cdn at my local retailer when they were released by G200. I personally think that if you wish to focus on an airline for fleet building, you have to include all the airframes they put in their fleet. But, that's also cool if you only want to collect the 'heavies' Yep, those stands are not the best for sure. I find the wooden stands a bit more stable and adds a touch of class with the model. T7

Oh, I thought it would be fascinating to see the size/dimensions of the A380 and B747-8 engines compared to the cabin width of the CRJ. You can fit 4 passengers across in the CRJ cabin, so those massive engines by the A380 and B747-8 can do the same.

You're probably right YULsee26 in that on a dollar per pound basis, narrow bodies are more expensive than wide bodies. Bur as shown above by T7, it's always fun to place the big ones beside the small ones. Another bonus is that they are not real estate hogs. In the end however it is totally up to you and what makes you happy.

I used to have this one but had to sell it because the color is just way off. Too bad as the mould is great!

Wow that's not too bad of a price at all - but I'd still like to inspect my first narrow body purchase in person to be sure it's worth the ticket price!

Since I display mine on their stands, it is an important factor for me. However, they would look nice off the stand next to a wide body in the Detolf!

I noticed that! That is insane! Thanks for that smart placement

Yeah exactly - that is what I meant to say. On a $/lb basis, I feel like you get more for the wide body models. But I do agree it is worth having some variety for size comparions but there are so many nice wide bodies it is hard to pass!!

Apparently the CRJ-200 is on the GJ production list so I guess that means we'll see it in a few months.
