The Ozark is nice but doesn't fit my collection criteria. But it's the best release out of the bunch.

I like the United 777-300ER, but I'll be getting the Inflight version instead of this model.

Looks like nothing from Gemini for me either this month.

About as interesting as watching paint dry. I am sorry to say it but this hobby is becoming very stagnant, repeat releases, dull releases, quality issues and ever increasing prices.

Such a shame. So many great liveries and airlines flying around out there and we get the same airlines every month. At least we know Gemini likes to recycle and re-use.

E-120 for me. Boring perhaps, but fits the criteria. Ozark DC-9 should be sweet.

I agree 100%. I remember I used to get very excited about the releases each month. Now I just sort of remain hopeful that they will make a CRJ-200 mold or a Southwest 737-300 tan colors or something, neither of which I doubt will happen any time soon. Plus the prices have gotten ridiculous. If they go up any more plane tickets will be cheaper (some already are).

Not only are the releases boring but thanks to them rushing the United 77W it indeed has the wrong registration number and missing the New Spirit of United titles. I wonder if it will be missing the over wing exit markings like the 1:400?

Update:

Gemini is being REALLY sneaky with this one. The artwork and the hint shows they used the old, wrong registration number but the website says it's the new correct registration.

It was likely commissioned by United and was being updated and altered along the way.

Big corporate airlines have more money than collectors, unfortunately. The best recent release in my collection is the Air North HS-748 that I convinced Air North to commission. If there's an airline you want to see a release from, I would encourage you to poke and prod your favourite airline to commission it. That's really the only way you're going to see anything interesting released these days.

ADI/GeminiJets does not have a United Airlines license and does not work directly with United nor does United place corporate orders with them. Sadly someone at Gemini had JC Wings people use photos fresh out of the paint shop to base the artwork off but didn't read about it being a temp registration number. It has been known for several months about these changes. They rushed the model when there was no need to because we know Phoenix wasn't going to make this in 1:200.

It seems Gemini nowadays releases a lot of corporate stuff for mayor airlines, such as Emirates, American, Delta & United, so if you happen to collect any of those airlines good for you... but if you're after more older airlines (past or present) or classic liveries than bad luck for you, you might have a better change with JC Wings, such as with the new American A300 they just released...

I don't get it. United 777-3 reg'n matches, and markings look correct. The only thing I see incorrect is dome placement, albeit in a drawing. Am I missing something?
Probably only E120 in this batch - I'll build a Hasegawa 777-3 for the United...

I would love more EMB-120s, but I would like JCW to revise the size of the nose gear to make it smaller first. The current one is too large and ruins the look of an otherwise great little model.

I for the most part agree with many of you in thinking GJ is putting out some boring releases. I collect Delta aircraft so I always welcome those releases, but I'd like to see some more variety. Do something interesting. Make some classics or just more previous liveries

nothing to see here... move along...

I will say though, I have been happy to see more LH releases from them lately, as there was a general lack of LH metal out there.

I find this interesting because I have worked directly with GeminiJets on a couple of projects and have been told directly from them how much more profitable it is to take orders from United than to make models of commuter airlines to keep collectors happy. It was specifically United, because the company I worked for at the time also did some work for United. I'm not saying your information is not correct, or perhaps was correct at one point, but I'm also 100% certain that United has commissioned work from Gemini - at least at some point.

GeminiJets also does not have a license for the airline I was working for, but we most certainly did commission a couple of models from them.

Yes, I'm very happy they released the Ozark DC-9. Gemini had been asked to produce this model for a few years and they finally came through.

I'd be interested in the Bonanza livery too, as well as the Continental Golden Nugget Jet livery. Hopefully some day!

Bonanza DC-9 and Continetal DC-9 "Golden Jet" would be awesome. I've kindly urged Gemini's grand poobah to release an Allegheny DC-9-30 with the original 1960s italicized titles.

GJ get the license and make the Il-62 and all the Russian airliners past and present in 1/200. Bury Herpa!

Still really disappointed to see they forgot the over wing exit markings on the 1:200 UA 77W and no New Spirit of United name. Unacceptable for a high priced model.

...they have a 1/400 Il-62/86, so maybe they already got the liscense.

For someone who is new to the forum ( I am suspicious) half your threads so far are against this model and Gemini..So lets set the record straight..

No Name.....Gemini worked with UAL several months in advance of its official roll out at Boeing. This model was scheduled months in advance too, placed in que during a small window of opportunity at the factory so that its rollout would coincide as close as possible to the real plane. When the models were finished, they are boxed and packed for shipping...they don't just sit in a corner warehouse at the factory awaiting any final modifications that may or may not occur down the road. That is not the way it works. 2 weeks after the models were shipped to Hong Kong United announced the name making it impossible for Gemini to re-call the models. It was not done on purpose just to rush the model out as you claim. WRONG

No Over Wing Exits..This issue has been brought up before, several airlines do not wish to have over wing exits portrayed on a model. On this particular model United did not want the over wing markings..So it is not an oversight as you claim.

Licensing...Please feel free to call ADI the distributor on the phone and the owner wil tell you the proprietary licensing agreement and payments they make out quarterly including United..

Any other USELESS COMMENTS from an armchair quarterback you wish to contribute to the forum???

Agree. A very disappointing month. Had the DC-9-14 been a Continental golden tail with a black meatball, I'd be in.

First, nobody in Willis Tower has any records of working with Gemini on this model nor is there a current active license with post merger United. There is one for Skymarks/Daron but not ADI/Gemini. United also requires licensed product to have the markings on the packaging that this is a official licensed United product. Don't confuse the airline not caring with having a current active license.

The New Spirit of United titles have been planned for well over six months.

Why does Gemini put over wing markings on the other United models if that is the case? American model didn't have over wing exits on one release but the rest did. I would be VERY happy if a second Gemini 1:200 UA 77W comes out with all the details.

I have six of these on pre-order which are being gifted which of course are from retailers since United doesn't carry these. I was very excited for these and disappointed.

(That American 787 is absolutely beautiful)

Went to visit the shop in Las Vegas and the February releases were in stock and shipping out. I'm still disappointed about the United 777 but it was still a nice model overall. Still hoping another one gets released in addition to the -200 again.
