Default JC Wings Air Canada B767-200ER has landed!

Greetings, it's been a long time since I posted some pics on the DAC. Thought I would share my JC Wings 200 Air Canada B767-200ER with you fine DAC collectors. Just scooped it up from my brick n mortar store AVW. I hope you like the pics, I am a bit rusty for not taking photos for awhile! Also, I tried to use more natural lighting to represent the actual color of the model. No flash was used. Cheers! T7

Greetings,

In response to YOWguy's question above.

Yes, it is C-GDSP that will be coming down the pipe from JC Wings 200.

Cheers! T7 ( I appreciate the photo you posted of the polished AC B767; I've already made my reservation on this model, hee hee! )

Thank you kindly, sir! I don't have the exact ETA on this polished AC B767, but I'm guessing it touches down around May or June?

Strange, I responded to YOWguy's question; but my original reply disappeared?

I can confirm it is C-GDSP which matches the photo from YOWguy above.

Also, I appreciate the photo YOWguy posted of the polished B767; come to Papa! !

Hmmm. I wonder if a change of livery for Air Canada is on approach? They've had the toothpaste livery for quite a few years. So, it's probably the time now for a new paint job for Air Canada. This could get quite expensive for 1/200 Air Canada collectors when this new livery is rolled out. ! Cheers! T7

They had a nice opportunity to update the livery with the 787 but they didn't. Maybe they are waiting for 737MAX
I wonder if they will have a special livery for the 80th anniversary this year as well?

I could be wrong here, but I have a feeling that Air Canada is going to roll out their new livery along with a commemorative 80th Anniversary paint job very, very soon! I'm also going to guess that they will deploy some euro-white combination with their new livery.

Thank you and I appreciate the compliments with my photos. I used my LG G5 phone for the first time on the DAC. I used the 'auto' function, will experiment next time with the manual settings.

Curious, was there any official press release from Air Canada about their new livery? Yeah, I will also miss the 'green/toothpaste' paint job.

There is a company event on Feb 9. Some insiders on airliners.net and twitter have claimed they have already seen the new livery

C-GHPQ is in the paintshop as well

Ah. OK. Feb 9th is the official launch date for the general public.

I am shocked that nobody from those groups above has not yet leaked the new scheme on the web??

sorry veered way off the thread top[ic - Just some speculation on the net. From Wiki - "A new red and grey aircraft livery is to be launched in 2017 to coincide with their 80th anniversary and first Boeing 737-8 Max delivery."

Great pix and many thanks. Mine is incoming and I like this mold as it has the correct PW engines which is your only choice when it comes to JC/Gemini's 767s.

Hey, no apologies required. I kinda like and appreciate that you posted the proposed/future livery for Air Canada; since I was looking for someone on the DAC to provide some images/information. Hmm. Interesting color combo they are going with. Not surprised with the euro white paint, but the grey sort of looks a bit off for me. Red is given for sure. Kinda looks like they just modified the AC Rouge paint job for Air Canada's new scheme.

Again, many thanks for posting those images! Looks like a lot of planes for JC/G200 and IF200 to roll out again in the near future!

Cheers! T7

You are quite welcome. This model gave me the opportunity to test out my new phone camera. You'll be very pleased with your AC B767-200ER model on approach to your hangar. Glad I was able to provide you with some photos of what's coming your way. By the way, will you also acquire the polished version as well? Cheers! T7

The model shown above is BEAUTIFUL!!! I think I need to have one in my collection!!

I'm going to miss the Sani-flush blue on Air Canada, as I'm confident the new scheme will be a major let down!!

Love the model, love the color, especially on B767...

Also AC is changing all fleet with that grey color?

[QUOTE=T7_4ever;2226257]Greetings, it's been a long time since I posted some pics on the DAC. Cheers! T7
Lovely model and great photo's T7. I use only natural lighting now and will only comment on photo's like yours that show the subject as it should be. Great work

I honestly don't collect Air Canada models even though this is a wonderful model for any Air Canada collector out there... but releasing the Canadian 767 version in the future would be nice too!!

The upcoming image change, would not keep me from buying this beauty. Maui from Vancouver was one of its many routes.

Is it me, or in the picture of the real polished 767 the wing root fairing is flush with the bottom of the fuselage, while on the model it bulges lower than the fuselage ? It makes the rear bottom fuselage slimmer.
But i might be having optical illusions.

Love the polished bird! Never was a fan of the Colgate blue. They haven't bested their 70's/80's livery yet.

Totally agree with you on that JC Wings did a bravo job on this model for Air Canada. It will make a fine addition to your 1/200 fleet.

I kind of was attached to the powder blue as well, due to it not being all euro-white. Something tells me that the new AC livery is gonna have plenty of euro-white! T7

You have great taste! Both models A+ IMO. However, the 'standard' livery you mentioned will be referred to as the 'past' livery in about 2+ weeks. Cheers! T7

Really cool model, lets hoping the new livery is not eurowhite! I kinda like this minty AC livery, why change it? BTW JC really needs to update that nose! With so many revisions to the 77W mould, i think the 767 deserves some love!

Based on some posts above on Air Canada's various paint jobs. I thought I would finally open up my Gimli Glider and do a group shot. I will do a 3-some shot in a few months with the polished model. All comments are welcome on these 2 AC liveries. Cheers! T7 (no flash was used in the photos below; went with natural lighting)

Very nice comparison of the old & new Air Canada liveries but the one that's still missing is this livery with the 'black' tail...

I totally agree with you on that. I'm guessing it will be rolled out by either JC or G200 late this year or early next. Yes, count me in for that one as well! T7
