Yikes! 56 bids! $970 USD = $2,000.00 Cdn. (ok, $1,404.00 Cdn)

It's been some time since I have seen a model go that high.

True to that! I am wondering if we will see some collectors willing to part with their An-225 models as well?

Yeah, I've been watching his listing for the Lufthansa 747-8i, which is up to $208 now with $50 shipping.

*sigh* I don't think I'll ever own that bird in that livery unless I go Herpa.

Well it is the "only one on eBay' !!!

Now if it was D-ABYP I could see that being pricey. But come on Gemini....make this one.

Those were horrid when they were first released for $250 bucks.

I'm sorry someone threw away that much cash, but it was their cash to blow...

The 1:1 machine was actually out on a test flight yesterday so should be returning to service.

Wonder if Herpa will do another release in 1:200, if the mould still exists? They seem to come out with occasional releases on this air frame in 1:400.

Yup, exactly!! I mean Phoenix has some pretty good models, but they aren't the greatest in quality.

Yeah, if it were the Siegerflieger or 1500th 747 livery, then I might be more inclined to spend the cash.

APPARENTLY just 2 HOURS LATER he sold ANOTHER for $1300.00!!!! again only one on ebay. which was true at the time.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Herpa-1-200...p2047675.l2557

but he got just $56 for his RARE JC CATHAY 747-400 ZK-NBS.

Oh my Lord! I really wanted to have this livery so bad (I have the 2nd Herpa one) but since the last bid that I made for this model a couple of months back that went up to the thousands, I decided to have one made for me by Sergei for much, much, much less moolah. See the picture here on my new post. https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...84#post2751984

It's crazy price how much people willing to pay for it...lol...

Its also sad that manufacturers not willing to keep production going. because if they did, they would be the one that are getting the money and we wouldn't have these crazy price and this would be more in the $200 range.

No idea why they couldn;t at least keep a low production rate going knowing how popular this model is going to be even if it would be a little on the higher side.

The Phoenix Lufthansa 747-800i is for sale for $275 BIN, immediately after the other one “sold” for $2xx. Yeah, sure.

I bid on the AF A380 and missed winning by a dollar. Now the exact same model is relisted for $257 BIN.

This seller is shady.

Both these models, when listed the first time, were the only ones on eBay. Now after their relisting, they’re still the only ones on eBay.

He has listed the KC-135 again as well. When the one that sold was still active, I had asked him if it came with the box as in the first listing it was not shown. Individual responded quickly and said that the box was included. Now on the current listing, the box is shown! I can see having and selling duplicates, but seems too good to be true! Probably glad now that you missed the AF380! Will be interesting to see if more negative feedback is listed in the near future!

Same seller had a Star Jets Eastern 757 for an outrageous number.. something like $1500. There was a thread on her about that one I believe.
