The registration is 9M-MRO, the ill-fated MH370 flight. The model is beautifully executed. Enjoy the photos!

Leave the bullcrap about JCW making money off a tragedy at the door please.

Hi Neil,

The grey doesn't look too dark to me as previously mentioned & photographed. Is this the first or second release and does it come with the special stand?

I'll defer the gray color to the experts, but the model does have a commemorative MH370 stand. I personally wish it was the regular stand.

I always liked this livery of Malaysia, very classy looking but yet cool at the same time too!

Beautiful pictures, as usual.

I would love to see a picture or two of your set up. Your pictures always look so good. The reflective surface does a lot to show off the model to its best advantage.

Finally found it... Sorry for the joke.. But yeah, beautiful model and I have no problem with it being made, but I'm not sure I would want it myself

Again, beautiful model.

I have this model. I checked it under natural, normal sunlight and I can tell the grey is not too dark. Just like spotting real aircrafts, colors appear differently in different light conditions. So it really depends on the light condition when you take the photo.

I hace the model and it is beautiful to my eye.
Anyhow, quick question; mine is the 9M-MRO and I know they are numbered to 80? I've seen some in the web with numbered cards.
PreOrdered mine and when it arrived, it didn't come with a numbered card.
Did these models truly came with a numbered card?

It should come with a number card. Try ans check the box agia. Maybe it might have fallen off. Take out the form and see whether it could be underneath?

I did that and nothing

Well, I don't care about the card, lol. Just curious.
The model is lovely.

Thanks for your input!

Nice, and finally JCW decided to make a model of 9M-MRO. I only have a 1:400 Heliconia livery of 9M-MRD (MH17) by DW and so far it's my most expensive 1:400 model (yeah we all know).

Hoping a 1:400 scale of 9M-MRO will be out. But these models are good for memories. And yes, the gray does look a little too dark (maybe lighting?) I've seen the 1:1 of MAS B772-ER and it's a tad lighter shade.

I believe the grey on this Malaysia 777 is the right shade of grey in my opinion, i have provided a picture of the A330 and the color seems right! Anyway, i hope JC Wings releases that one next time around...

Yep mine had a serial number card. Here's the photos of the box, card and stand. I wouldn't think twice about the missing card...as long as the model is in the box!

I imagine JC will do just a regular livery without those special stickers at cockpit & rear door (which I hope am wrong). Those stickers are nice

This is exactly how this model of 9M-MRA is being released with the 50th Anniversary stickers at the rear near the rego and The "Super Ranger Logo"
just aft of the cockpit. Must have operated like this for a very short time. Just see how many photo's or images you can find on google images or airliners.net or other aircraft forums with both of the above stickers. That's what I mean about rare, I am not referring to the model quantity production numbers as I have no idea. I will be getting this one as well. If I am able to still place an pre-order.
