I love your models.
It's a pity that you did not come to this hobby some twenty years ago …
A lot of classic aircraft to choose from Western Models, Skyline, Heathrow Models, DH Models, MAM and a few more.
The IL 62 was among them.
I am trying to restore a Br 761s found in a derelict state on ebay, still a lot of work ahead.

Thanks so much Jean Pierre! Since I joined this forum you were always a guiding inspiration. Waiting to see the finished Br 761!
Amazing! It is wonderful that you got so many presents you wanted under the tree. I did not get any models, but a couple of toys I like to play.

You are too kind ! I am just an ordinary DA.C member.
The only difference is that I am old enough to say that I remember aircraft that many of us have never seen.
I also apologize for my English which is very basic.
If you can decrypt my geographical coordinates, you will discover that English is not my mother tongue.
I attach two pictures taken in 1958 at Paris Le Bourget when the TU 114 landed for the first time there.
I always thought and considered 727's as one great piece of art! That photo looks like she cant wait for the breaks to be released and and off she goes gracefully to the sky accompanied by the musical reverberation of her 3 PW JT8D.

Jean Pierre I don't know what you are apologizing for, your English is perfect! Thanks for the pics. I would love to be up close and personal with a TU 114. Perhaps one of these days if I get to visit Monino.
Ok where did you get that beautiful widget 727? I've been looking and waiting for one for months. I'm jealous.
I need several more widgets to build my "planes I've flown on" collection.

I hear you. The Delta widget B727 was a nice looking airplane. I flew on her once routing YVR-LAX.

I agree, it is indeed a nice airplane that Delta widget 727! I also flew on the Delta 727 once in 2001 coming home from JFK airport & it was also my first time on the all new Delta 777 of that same year...

Looking forward to seeing this one come out of the hangar. Seen a pic of a 761S in early Air France all silver (F-WASK) are you planning to do this one?

I have this photo.
I know that this aircraft looks like a whale but I love it.
There is a good reason for that, I made my first flight on a Bréguet Deux Ponts.
The aircraft I am planning to do is one of the three Br 761s acquired by the French Air Force, the 64-PD, the aircraft of my first flight.
It was the beginning of a long story with aviation.

Christmas present via eBay, you wouldn't believe what my buddy paid for it (he doesn't know I know).

Wow, yeah that price would be ridiculous. I may have to wait a while since I'm not willing to pay collector prices.
I'm sure we'll see more widgets someday since they're so popular. I was able to get one of the AV200 widget L-1011s this year which was a huge addition for me.
And about the 727... I was lucky enough to fly on one in 2001, still in the widget scheme. The seat was so broken in that I had a metal bar jabbing me in the back, but it was a short flight luckily. Salt Lake to Bozeman, MT

Thanks for pic, the one I saw had the prop spinners. Hope 64-PD goes well.

I've been flying on 727s since the late '60s, my first flight was aboard an ochre Braniff 721 in 1969. When I was younger I was sick of 727s, they were everywhere and I wanted something different. Of course now I'd love to see and fly aboard just one.
When I'm looking for something obscure I check eBay at least once a day, might even save my search terms in a desktop shortcut to save time. Someone could put one up for auction starting at a reasonable price, depending on how many know about the auction it could even end up selling for a reasonable price. Reasonable to me would be about $150 since it is so sought-after but if Gemini's owner pulls his head out of his a$$ he might release another with different registration... rendering Simon Black's sale irrelivant (LOVE IT when that happens).

he is a virginfans wannabe, sells nothing for under $200. Well maybe "sells" is a misnomer since his stuff sits on eBay week after week, month after month. Some of his sales include the "Best Offer" feature even though no matter what you offer he says no. Don't have time for idiots like that.
.
It's great that you're a big man on the internet, getting as many personal attacks in as possible.
I guess the ironic part is that I've made $14000 in sales this month, whilst you struggle to pay back $250 in 9 months...
I had a little mishap that month, it broke the back of my seat sending my head through the glass behind. I was out of work for a time, yes that's true. I think for the most part Chris has forgiven me, mea culpa and all that. Is there any other information I can help you with? Hope your holidays were just glorious by the way.
People still use the word "whilst" - why would you want to wrap your tongue around that stupid word. Just get rid of the "st" and add an "e", it will make your life so much simpler.
