Default My first ever arrivals!

For Christmas this year I got my first ever aircraft models, both from the Gemini 200 series. They look amazing and I now
understand why people like collecting aircraft models! I got a 747-8i and a 777-300ER both in Air China livery. I am really
happy I got these two models. The 777-300ER is really one
of my favorite real life aircrafts and the model looks very good.

Check the link below for pictures of the models

You will soon find this is an addiction.
Welcome to the fold and since you have chosen this scale, start looking for a larger house to live in.

Before I got those two models I told myself that I probably wouldn't pick up any other models any time soon,
but after I got them and had a look at how beautiful they are I must admit I started planning which models to get next!

Planning is half the fun! Your models are very good looking.

It's worse than addiction ... far worse than obsession. It possesses you. It's called heavenly pleasure.

You can also try to make your own models …

It is cheaper but it can take more time to have the model in your cabinet.
Start with something simple.

Someone told me one day :
"Half the fun of making a model is facing the challenge to do it".

It is quite true.

I got my first aircraft model last month and I swore I wouldn't buy more. And yet, now I have four with two approaching.

That's how I started. 1100 models later, still saying "just one more". Welcome aboard the crazy train.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'll post some updates if, or maybe I should say when, something new arrives!

Actually I am interested in getting one or two Air China aircraft too. May I know where you get these and what are the prices?

I bought them on the Norwegian equivalent of Craigslist as I am from Norway, so I can't recommend any stores etc from personal experience yet. I paid 1500 NOK which is about 172 USD or 165 EUR and then shipping to get both. Originally he only had the 747-8i advertised for 1100 NOK + shipping, and when I contacted him he said that he also had the 777-300ER and if I wanted both of them I could get them for 1500 + shipping as a "package deal". He also advertised a 777-300ER Cathay Pacific for 500 NOK + shipping.
EDIT: Just want to mention that the seller said that both of these were in perfect condition, only taken out of the box for inspection, but they were never displayed on a shelf or table, so he said they were as good as new.

I compared the deal to what those models cost on Ebay, so I am indeed happy with the deal. I don't think the diecast aircraft market is large in Norway, as I had to do several hours of research to find one single online store in Norway that sells diecast aircrafts. I guess that's why he didn't ask for more, in hopes of actually be able to sell them.
