I am trying to save money for holiday presents next month. Ask me how that's going Capt. Dan.

I to have many fond memories of PWA. My Mother worked for them starting in 1978. Flew them several times. I flew on the brand new B767-200 up to YEG.

We lived under the flightpath for Comox airport in the 1970s. Every afternoon, regular as clockwork, the PWA 737 would fly over our house, landing gear down, headed for the runway. When we would go to the airport to meet family or friends, the little terminal had a single gate, and the PWA 737 would taxi right up to the building, and deploy its internal staircase, which unfolded from below the front door. As a child, I used to love sitting at the window, watching the luggage being unloaded, the crew doing their jobs, and all the passengers coming and going. I also flew PWA back and forth to YVR many times. I wish PWA were still around.

Glad to see they have the turbocompressor correctly placed on engine #4, correct for all 707s (except AA's). Just wondering if this model features the larger 707 main gear tires, which would improve the accuracy of the -138B rendition compared to just a recycled 720B mold.

This is how the CP 707 ended her days.

It happened here at YVR in the late 60's I believe. Foggy morning arrival from HNL. Sadly,2 or 3 fatalities I think?

Feb 1968 at YVR. Flight from Honolulu, attempting to land in poor visibility. Crashed into buildings and aircraft. One flight attendant and one person on the ground killed.

Yes you are right Bill, but I am still curious to know how AeroClassics200 models of Qantas's 707-138's have turned out and I want to see it in person, so I am very very seriously considering purchasing this one N791SA " Empress of Sydney"
This Aircraft was formerly Qantas's VH-EBC "City of Melbourne" full history is here on this fantastic site VH-JET#1 & Her Sisters - Where Did They Go?

Even though the sad endand www.adastron.com/707/qantas/VH-EBC.htm

The tragic end of this aircraft is here VH-JET#1 & Her Sisters that will fill the gaps and answer your questions

The fate of the actual aircraft was most unfortunate. It is still a beautiful model. Defiantly on the serious consideration list for purchase.

You mean outer left …

Engine 1 …

It's normal, only three turbo compressors.

I know there should be 3 of them , but with my sample, engine 1 as well as engine 4

lack the compressor. I'm "playing" with the idea of this being an ex AA bird. . Too much

hazzle to return it to the dealer... Beautiful livery never the less... My Canadian Pacific model, however, is correctly equipped...

I understand …

Only two turbo compressors. That was the configuration of the B 707-320 Cs used as pure freighters, no passengers, only two turbo compressors.

That said, there is something to say about QC …
