Default Jetway Models.......New Owner?

Hey Everyone,

I was noticing that Jetway Models has a new website, set up much like Waffle. Looks good. But as I was browsing the new site and noticed that it looks like the company is based in PA now instead of WA and has a new owner.

What happened to Nick?

For years Nick was my primary source for models, but in the past few years as models began to flood the market and shipping costs increased I had to move to another vendor.

Nick sent notice to his regulars, so should be no surprise to those who deal with him...

...at least this news; I was surprised at the initial e-mail...

I had no idea....and didn't get a notice. But..I haven't ordered from him in a while, almost a year. But, hate to see that. He was a great dealer. One of the best in the business.

I just couldn't keep ordering from him with the increase in shipping costs. Him on the west coast, me on the east coast. It was costing me a fortune. Most of the dealers I order from now offer free shipping.

I recieved a email from Nick to say he was moving on, very surprised as he is the best in the buisness, but we do not know his circumstances, so although ill miss him, good luck to him, customer service was 100%, The new guy has all nicks customer information and got in touch to introduce himself, Waffle says he is a good guy and to give him a chance but already been 5 days with no reply to email compared to Nicks 24 hours, He may have bought Nicks company name but doesnt have nicks service.

New company gets paid via topflightmodels so maybe some of you have dealt with new guy before.

Default New Owner of JetwayModels

You are all correct!

Let me introduce myself as the new owner of JetwayModels.com.

I have been in the aviation business for almost 15 years and am excited to carry on the great work Nick has been doing for over the last 20 years.

Customer service, among honest and fair pricing, are my top priorities going forward. I know how important it is for people to feel they matter, be able to get questions answered quickly and be treated with respect.

As many have seen, the sight has a fresh look! I am working to continue to tweak and improve the layout as time goes on. Also, more models are continuing to be added to ensure the content is current and up to date. If you cannot find an item or have a website request, please feel free to contact me.

Please take a few minutes to browse the site, register for an account and hope to talk to you soon. My contact information and email are listed in the "Contact Us" section.

Does anyone have any experience with Steve? I am wondering because I contacted him about an order I made when Nick was still the owner about a year ago. I placed a pre-order for a model that has now been available from several retailers all over the US for about two weeks now. I have not received any notification about my order and tried to contact Steve and it has been about a week and I have not heard back from him. I am just wondering what others experiences are? I know when Nick was the owner that you would always get a response pretty quickly.

I ordered from Nick and Adamjets for many years, so was very sorry to see both go. I will give Steve the benefit of the doubt, he has come through with one of my pre-orders that I made through Nick, and does respond to emails promptly.

I will confess that I highly preferred the old jetway website. I was just browsing it, looking for a couple of models advertised on other sites for preorder, but no sign of them at the jetway site. I don't want to go back to ordering from random suppliers on eBay, but that appears to be my only option for some of these pre-ordered models.

Steve, why does the jetway site still have so little stock to choose from? This is something I attributed initially to a new website, from a new business, being set up. But the situation hasn't gotten any better since Nick sold his business.

Although some would say Nicks website was old and needed improved, from a customer point of view i found it simple and easy and if there was ever a stock issue Nick would always reply asap, Been trying to place a few pre-orders with Steve but have forgotten log in details and now cant get hold of steve with 24 hours to go to deadline, It is christmas though, so ill give him a break, he has also come through on keeping one of the good benefits Jetway always personally provided me after taking over the company so cant complain.............

update : ALL GOOD, REPLY RECIEVED AND CHECKED OUT

Steve, have you thought about the benefits of nicks style website where it would be simple to set up against all the website updates you may currently have to do?
