Re: anyone bought the JCW 1:200 N5017V 777-300ER world colours?
nice photo flyingdream!
anyone have any more photos, especially of the engines?
bcause the drawbacks of the IF version IMO are the gears and the engines

Can you take a few more pics of the nose? Mostly a direct side view with the shot wide enough to include the first 2 doors. Looks like JCW may have finally tweaked the model's nose a bit, but I can't tell from the pics.

Thanks!!
And WOW, it looks like a mold modification to me. Looks great. Hopefully this is not just a one off 'sanding variation'. If this is an actual mold modification, this looks like EXACTLY what I have been waiting for. The center of the nose on this one looks lower and just about where it is supposed to be, which looks like it lowers the doors and windows to where they are supposed to be. Very prototypical looking.

I was able to check several models, and it looks like you, like me with my JCW KLM Skyteam 777-300ER, got one that was sanded correctly, with out too much variation. I guess we were both lucky!
It looks to me like just large variations in the final sanding of the model rather than any modification to the mold. That is disappointing.

Well so I was lucky for once
I have seen some factory pictures, it is alot of manual work done on this model's so I guess we always will see some variations. I try not to look to close on my model's....I always tend to find some spot on them I dont like...my swissair 743 has for example a very rough surface under the paint job, looks like a lot of fingerprints, sadly cleaning is not possible....
I guess we need to find the beauty spots to adore so we forget about the other things...

I guess I'm lucky. I live about 10 minutes from Eztoys, so I can pick my models up in person. That really helps. My KLM Skyteam 777-300ER looks as nice as this model, but I did go through a box or two to find her. It also seems to me that sanding variations aren't as bad in some brands as they are in others.

McDan out
Finger prints on the chrome part? Try use a cotton stick and apply a little bit of toothpaste, select a small area to clean gently first and see if that helps. This is how I remove finger prints which left during manufacturing.

Thanks for the tip, but it's under the paint and it looks like fingerprint's, but I guess its from rough sanding....
