Default 1:200 JC Wings Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ER ZK-OKQ Flaps Down

Being an Air New Zealand 1:200 diecast collector, if any model is released in this criteria, there is no doubt I would purchase a model that is to be released.

In this case, I have no idea why JC Wings have decided to recreate the Air New Zealand boeing 777-300ER ZK-OKQ... again but in a flaps down version.

I mean, yea it was great they re-released the "All Blacks" version earlier this year as that was a sell out in the first instance and a highly sought after model. Even I didnt have one from the 1st release so I was glad to see it released again.

Now that Air New Zealand has repainted the aircraft to its simplified "all black" livery, JC Wings announced that new repainted model as well just a few days after the aircraft was painted. I have to say I was surprised to see it but it is a new livery and Air New Zealand model for part of the collection.

And now, JC Wings have released the model... once again but with flaps down! It just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

1) Both liveries have already been released so why release again, just with flaps down
2) I'm pretty sure the "All Blacks" model is still available to purchase from retailers so why do another release (if it is in this livery)
3) Popularity surly wouldn't be that high with 2 Air New Zealand 777-300ER already released this year
4) And in saying that in no3), do they (JC Wings) really think they will sell any/make money from this model release?

It just seems quite illogical to me to have chosen the Air New Zealand 777-300ER ZK-OKQ for the flaps down version when there are so many other great airlines that would have taken this model with open arms.
And hey, if it was another airline with the flaps down, im sure there would have been allot more sales.

Just makes me wonder how/why they choose what airlines, aircraft and liveries they release each month cause this one in my eyes was a very poor decision in choosing the airline and livery. And this is coming from an Air New Zealand collector!

I'm with you. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.
Strange things seem to be going on at JCW these days.

I just bought one from Johan on eBay. I think it will make a nice addition to my mostly European 1:200 collection.

Watched Triple7 Diehard's YouTube review. Looks to be a very nice model with those flaps.

Received this model today. It's a real beauty. the flaps are done really nice, Better then i expected.

I had to decide between this JC version and the Inflight200 version with the black stand. I really like the inflight stand, but the overdone nosecone held me back.

Really love the livery. I also have the ATR72 in the all Blacks livery. It really stands out between the other models.

The wing flex on the model is awesome. It looks great when on the stand.
