Not me at that price. I expect we will see more of these floating up to the surface in the future. I tried to lift a photo of ebay and it didn't work

Different model then one listed above..His is an inflight version with wing flex up and no gear..This appears to be a custom remade one...No wing flex and has gears

Doesn't look like a custom to me - looks like it came from a factory.

Maybe this guy got one of the unlicensed models? The only way he can sell it without having eBay remove it is to list it as custom?

No matter custom or not, that price is too high, also found the 1/400 at $150...

Not a custom, and yes that price is far too high. Someone is trying to make a quick buck flipping models.

Not only the wing flex and gears, but the ones on ebay do not have the physical antennas on the model like this one does.

I want it soooo bad...but like the others have said, not at that price. Hopefully they will all be released at some point once the dust settles a bit.

It doesn't matter if we think it's too much - it only matters if one person out there is willing to pull the trigger at that price.

There is no such thing as "price too high" in this world. Price is determined by the market, not the seller. When there is a transaction, that is the market price.

Someone purchased it this listing has ended. A custom, I doubt it. Wish I had the cash. Good things come to those who wait

That model is not a custom. I would guess they may start cropping up on ebay here and there, but I wouldn't hold your breath on a mass retailer release anytime soon. At least not while the Disney lawyers are on it. Maybe years down the road when the new trilogy is done and the hype has died down a bit.

The seller listed it as a custom...If it is indeed a JC then why does he not sell it on his ebay site??? The ones he sells are in the inflight mode with no gears, flexed wings and lacking gear and antennas????

Another one from Hong Kong was up last night. North of $700 USD. It appears to be gone. Either sold or eBay yanked it.

Why, again, was this model cancelled, yet other Disney models are recently released?

There is if no one buys the model However, there isn't anything wrong with a seller putting an item for sale on ebay at an extortionate crazy price. Always a possibility someone with deep pockets will buy it. On the other hand, if the seller starts complaining no one has purchased their item then they should consider lowering the price.

Because its Star Wars which is a cash cow for Disney. They paid $4 Billion for the IP so you can't really blame them for not wanting unlicensed products out there.

Thanks. At this point, I guess Star Wars is slightly out producing Steamboat Willie

This is why its good to have friends in Singapore and Hong Kong. So you can get your hands on one of these at a normal price. Can't confirm or deny I did.

In theory this could indeed be a very good made custom model.

Take the blank JC Wings 787 and use and scrap a regular JC Wings ANA 787 Dreamliner, take the ANA stand and the ANA tail, add custom made decals to the white fuselage and sell it at such a price...

Sounds like a smart idea

The photos from Ebay are of too low quality to judge exactly

I hope everyone on this forum gets one at a normal price. Great job on the networking. That is a bonus to this hobby - getting the exclusive/rare models. makes the pursuit - dare I say - enjoyable.
