This bird will look really fine with the polished belly!

Good news! I've been back and forth about ordering the rollout 747, but this just made my decision for me!

I've been wanting one of these for so long... But I agree, this needs to be done by JCW. I've grown quite tired of IF200's 747 mould (and the fact they seem to not care about revising it).

I'm happy enough with my original bird to justify shelling out for this version. I might be tempted with a polished JCW version in the future.

Personally, I don't collect 'house' models; with the exception for the T7. That being stated, I noticed there seems to be a recent trend for DAC collectors (myself included) to acquire only JC B747 birds as of late. Also, can we bet the farm that JC will be releasing this particular model in the next few months?

We need some KLM A330s and 777s.

I could go fro a regular Last Livery KLM A330-300 (made by someone other than Herpa). Would like to see a regular Last Livery 777-300ER too, since one hasn't been done on anyone's revised mold yet. But then again, I collect KLM.

As far as 747s go, I'll stick with JCW/GJ 747s also.

How does a model look like when it is not polished? So say the plane in real life is supposed to be polished but the model is not polished? How would the model look like?

The 'polished' parts would be painted with aluminum colored paint.

It would make a nice replacement for the one I used to have.

I keep the one I have from Inflight. She is perfect in my eyes so no need to swap it.

btw is not time to stop this rereleasing and time to start focussing on new not done in 1/200 projects?

It's not so much fun to see your models were you spent hard coins on to be released again. It takes the fun out of collecting. What do these guys think? That we easily can swap it for a newer version?

Are there no other subjects left to do??

Oh good point. I'm leaning toward ordering this, but there is definitely a chance JCW may release this one soon as well. I really don't mind the IF model, but to see JCW do it may be worth the wait.

From the Inflight Facebook page's link, it mentioned as " "City of Everett" Roll Out Version "

But did the title of "City of Everett" really go with the airline logos? As from previous releases, there are two different versions,

Item #: IF742001A
Item #: IF741004A

Anyone is free to clear my mind...

I agree with you wholeheartedly. How about some new releases, instead of the endless rehashing of old ones? My original IF200 Spirit of Everett is just perfect, and I have no plans to replace her.

Look what all this ridiculous re-releasing did to the KLM 747 market. Totally glutted now, and the average KLM 747 model is worth about, what, $150 USD now, on a good day. Quite a change for a year or so ago, when they commanded upwards of $800 USD.

When all the Holy Grail models are made so easy to find, it kind of takes some of the fun out of this hobby.

I also think that too many models are releases at a time nowadays, during my first year of collecting, I was able to keep up with the desired new releases, as only a couple of 747s were released in a month (or less) so I could also hunt out sold-out models as well...now there are hundreds of releases a year, just crazy...I think this is as much to blame as re-releases into the market. Flooding it with every conceivable model has spoilt the collector and the hobby somewhat.

Totally agree with you But if the pan am (or lockheed house col.) tristar would be re released, I would buy it in the blink of an eye...It seems that only 747's are being re released...

I would love to have the house color Lockheed too but personally I prefer to find it someday at a convention or that I have a lucky day at ebay. It's that great satisfied and excited feeling what you get than. Preordering a rerelease is not coming close to that feeling.

Also it seems there is only room in the 1/200 market for nowdays liveries on nowdays a/c types oh and rereleases like there is only a very small part of the 1/200 collectors who are interested in classics.
