My Store, Threshold Aviation got the JC Wings "Gimli Glider" in today and I am stoked to be hopefully picking it up tomorrow.

I flew on the exact plane in 1995, that is why I posted this.

So this is unlicensed yeah ? Given Air Canada's reluctance to associate themselves with the incident and the many red faces it created. I'd love one in 1:400 too, accompanied by a lost Air Canada maintenance van and some tiny kids on bikes !

Excellent.
Just make sure you have enough gas in the car when you go to get it.

Yeah pretty damned clever of me.
You know those zany Canucks, you need to remind them from time to time that fuel is needed to drive/fly.
Just doing my part for the neighbors to the north.

Me too, pretty funny Mr Ironclaw. Although this was bad for AC it is one of the better Air Crash Investigations episodes I have seen where everyone survives (even on the ground). A great result from a great pilot. Same cant be said for the refuelers. I am sure this model will be popular Leslie, enjoy it look forward to you posting pictures

Anyone buy one of the luggage tags they made from the actual fuselage of the gimli glider?

There is a company in CA that makes tags out of scrapped planes. If you search online you can find them on a few sites for between $35 and $50 USD for the gimli glider version.
