more useful would have been:

Lockheed C-5
Il-76MF
An-124
An-225
Il-96-400T/M
Tu-144
Tu-114

or almost every fantasy retro 77W or 748i....

The previous version sold well and on the rare instances it shows up on evilbay, commands a large price.

It also pairs nicely with this -

There is a broader audience for this model, not just diecast collectors

I hope they get rid of the wheels for space ship two. The mother ship already has gear down, its just strange spaceshiptwo also has it down.

It's virgin on the ridiculous (there, had to say it).

Seems quite a surprise. Would have expected this to be a commissioned piece under the Gemini brand than a JC release.

If we're talking about other moulds we wish JC had done, how about a 1/200 Boeing 747-400LCF? :D

What isn't strange about it

I wonder if the reason that 'they' made the model 'wheels down' is because the Spaceship is detachable?

If that is the case, the landing gear should be magnetic and closed wheel well doors should be included.

I doubt it, it seems to be the same model made by IDT Jets back in 2012, I did a review of that model a while back you can find the pictures here:
http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...wo-vg0200.html

I hope JC Wings do improve on it and give us magnetic gear. Hopefully a detachable spaceshiptwo but I doubt this since the stand goes into the exhaust of that model and that's too much weight for the magnets.

I'm a fan of Virgin, but really have no plans in buying this or excited to for this release at all.
