Exclamation JC 777-300 House Livery Quality

Yesterday i finally got to open another eagerly awaited box from JC-Wings

...and was less excited, to say the least, with what i found in it.

I found the following issues with the model as seen on the attached pictures:

1. The nose gear does not fit properly and leaves a big gap between the fuselage and NLG doors.

2. The stand is misprinted, especially the Boeing logo is just wrong and looks wrong next to all my other models with the same stand.

3. The printing on the nose... come on! The stripes are printed completely off and therefore make the entire model look super weird.

I find all this especially disappointing because i already have multiple JC-Wings models and i know that YOU, JC-Wings, you can do that a lot better if you wanted to! It is even more sad because the rest of the model looks absolutely gorgeous.

I hope that somebody from JC-Wings reads this and can come up with some kind of solution for this quality issue. Hopefully this is just a one time occurence and not a normal "pass" in the Quality Management at JC. I will gladly provide more or better pictures if this is necessary.

This is why I prefer to have a look at what I am purchasing, although not always possible. I would send it back and try your luck with another one.

wow that is really awful. The stand I could just chalk up to just being a stand and not mattering that much but the striping... wow...

The JC TuiFly 738 that just came has a similar gear door issue on my model.

I would send it back too. None of this, particularly the paint on the nose, is minor except maybe the stand.

JCW sure does seem to be having some quality issues lately, particularly with paint. I'm specifically thinking of the misapplied white paint on the ANZ All Blacks 777-300ER model now.

Thank you all for the support, i'm glad that it's not my standards that are unrealistic here...

I guess it will go back to where it came from and quickly. It's a shame that something like that leaves the factory at all.

It's been said by many members many times that no model is perfect and this is true. I could live with the gear and stand based issue's but that nose makes it practical undisplayable imo. You've got to be happy with her or she will niggle you forever and end up back in the box where she doesn't deserve to be. Good luck.

totally unacceptable, thats Skymarks quality there, and both skymarks models I have had printing that was so far off I considered them scrap (sloping window lines, and windows on one side 5mm higher than on the other)

The stripe issue makes it unacceptable. Return it asap.
