I received my Billboard title Pan Am 747-100 from eztoys about a month ago. Where did you order yours from?

Never knew Pan Am did a Snoopy.

I have the RAF version...just to give an impression of a loooong nose

Only photo I can find of N732PA with the nose probe:

This airframe is the same one that was nearly destroyed when Boeing tried to land a 747 at Renton for refurb following the end of the flight test program. It ended up being the only time a 747 attempted to land at that airfield!

Hmm...interesting release idea but I think this may be a pass. A lot of good Pan Am stuff lately, but we're still missing some key livery variants.

edit: It looks like the titles are too bold and that was a problem with the last release. It's like a hybrid between the large and small titles...

I love the white probe on a white background.

Will be interesting to see if Gemini/JC get in the Pan Am game with their new 747 mould.

Thanks for the pic. I was beginning to think it was some kind of belated April Fools joke.

Normally I'm a buyer of just about anything jet-powered with a Pan Am globe on it. But this release is a little too oddball for me, so I will pass. Its not like I have any room for another Pan Am 747 model, anyway.

It will, however, be interesting to see photos of the actual model, and see how the detachable probe is attached to the model. Detached, it will probably leave an unsightly hole in the nose.

Because there a re so many other, more popular versions to do using the limited production capacity, rather using it for a one off model that may not sell well.

I wonder if it may be a a good idea to make the probe detachable on the model. Or alternative nose parts. That way you have the option of displaying it as a standard 747. It may even make it easier to fit the model in the box.

Agreed, last ditch attempt to sell some models before the JC mould comes onboard perhaps?

Yes, I was wondering if it is going to possibly be magnetic. Otherwise, they will have to come up with completely new packaging for this model.

I love Pan Am, but like others on here, I'm going to pass on this one, too. Very odd release, not to mention I doubt it would even fit inside my display case with the probe attached.
