Default IF200 Lockheed Jetstar

ARD is showing a new mold for April release: IF200 Lockheed Jetstar in USAF, and Eastern hockey stick. Four engines, not on wings!

I never knew Eastern had the Jetstar. Wiki says there were 2 operating for corporate use from 1970-1973. They wore "Whisperstar" titles.... lol not a quiet a/c by any means.

I learned something new today.....

Very nice subject chosen by Inflight and indeed a surprise.
Looking forward to see the model.

Don't get me wrong but if the Jetstar is possible as new mould I'm pretty sure the IL62M as new mould should be possible too.

Did Elvis not had one of these too?

I believe the Kuwait and Iraqi were Jetstars II so not possible on this mould.

This image is a bit odd. I don't remember ever seeing a VC-140 with the blue colors that way. The lightning bolt between the blues. Can anyone verify this exact scheme?

I had my first airplane ride in a Lockheed Jetstar operated by the 3M Company. Hope they do this one right!

Thread topic is IF200 Lockheed Jetstar.

Fail to see relevance of Gulfstreams here.

This does mention a proposed CG Jetstar based aircraft. Tails Through Time: How the US Coast Guard Ended up with the Dassault Falcon

there are two existing 4holers havng their engines on the rear. IF had the choice between the VC-10 (which JC screwed in most peoples opinion) and the Il-62. both airfraes are pretty well known (and in case of the VC-10 pretty popular) - AND THEY CHOSE THE JETSTAR?!?!? just to speak for me, i really doubt we'll see ANY russian airframe from this manufacturer.

It is hard to see what the issue is here with a Jetstar vs the IL-62 or VC-10. There are 3 manufacturers of the VC-10 (JC Wings, Sky Classics and London Models). You can get the IL-62 from either Historic Models (off e-bay and I have three of them) or from Herpa. There is NO JetStar available anywhere other then Inflight200!!!

The Jetstar is a great choice for a 4 holer release. I hope the model is well done. I waited quite awhile for a Jetstar release, and quite honestly, never thought I would see it.

according to google and ebay there is no brand called London Models. and the Sky Classics 10 is not up to todays standard. and the JCW mould needs a new undercarriage (just to speak for me) - other collectors found more issues. PLUS JCW seems to have left the retro section almost completely for a uncertain time, so we won't see any further VC-10 that quickly. .....and keep in mind, that Inflight made a Super VC-10 under the brand name Inflight500 - its just an upscaling of that mould basically.

and to the Il-62: there are two moulds, Historic Models and Western Models. but NOT Herpa. they announced an Il-62M back in 2012, but it was never released.

As a Air Force One diecast fleet collector with all complete fleet( DC-6, DC-9, B707, B737, B747 and B757) l always thinking that 2 models was missing, the JetStar and the GV. Now at least one is coming. What is next the Elvis Presley one?

Yes Elvis Presley had one and still survive in a All Red paint job. Yes Iraqi have a VIP one with the iconic two tone Green livery of early 90's.
Both of these are more than welcome of course with the AF1. As far for Kuwait l don't know.

I have several, but not the complete fleet of Air Force Once aircraft, so I will definitely be interested in this JetStar. It would definitely be something different.

Dear European Collector,

I won't waste time with trying to clear up your inaccuracies but look up "InflightLE" VC-10 in the data base of the children's forum and you'll find the "London" models VC-10s I referred to (which was the name Martin used for the VC-10 line) listed there. Western never made an IL-62 and once the idiot Germans learn how to deal with the Russians you'll get the Herpa version (though it will be plastic).

Yup found the Kuwait. It was 9K-ACO.
This one has the same engines as the version Inflight is going to release so I guess the Kuwait is one of the possibilities.

Don't worry. The IL62M is a characteristic plane and a well known Sovjet airframe if not best known. I'm pretty sure it will show up one day in metal diecast.

Just be patient.

Many thanks KRASAIRIL62,I never saw the Kuwait one but as a Kuwait small fleet collector this is a must. I am looking forward for the Iraqi one since this fleet (my fleet) is much more bigger. Also don't worry about the IL62 model, it will land one day and she better come with lots of love and details. I have a unbuilt plastic one in 1: 100 scale made 30 years ago from East Germany together with the rest gang of IL18,Tu114, Tu 134, Tu144, Tu154, An 12, Let 410 and Yak 40.

Yup, there is a Marine One. Fantastic little model made by Herpa.

If you have the Navy One you should not miss the MV-22.

For example:

Bell Boeing MV-22B Osprey (USMC, HMX-1 "Nighthawks" - "Marine One

Ahh, I was aware of this one. The MV-22 is not ever actually used as Marine One, but it is a part of the same squadron. It flies a support role to the Presidential mission. Still on my wish list though! I would love to see a 1/200 VH-3 and VH-60

I reckon this would be the one to have. Apparently it may be this one that was stuck in a hangar at Luton years ago (89/90's). Alledgedly it was Gaddafis transport
I was working in Luton town center at the time, and got talking to one of the airport biz jet engineers who said was was there. Never did see it despite much searching from the fence.
