Please reserve one for me. As a ANA die cast collector definitely in metal.

Re: Ana a380

i am, but i am not so anxious for JC/GJ to release it. the mould has got some serious issues which only a handful of people seems to be aware of - aka the manufacturers most likely won't change. so i'll wholeheartly buy the HG (the far better mould IMHO)version as soon as it emerges - even though it is made of plastic. a dream would be GJ getting the HG liscense and doing a HG based diecast mould.

an A380MRTT would be cool too - (military grey - like the RAF 332)...

You've missed it then. See link below. Asiana A380 is coming from JC Wings in the coming months, after Chinese New Year.

Can you elaborate on what those serious issues are?

I think he is referring to the fuselage mounted main landing gear being mounted too far aft on the JCW mold compared to the real thing.

There was an Asiana A380 in 1/200 from Hogan.

I think the Hogan mould is perfect.

totally agree with you european! if they can either correct their current mould or just use the hogan one but a diecast version that would be awesome.

Don't quite like throwing good money after plastic though, there is something about metal that greatly improves my enjoyment of a model. must be a personal thing :)

Re: Ana a380

Isn't the wing flex at the rear of the wing more accurate on the plastic models as well? The wing meets the hull with not much curve on the JCW/Gemini mould, compared to the real aircraft, that much I do know.

For me, I just collect... I don't really care if it's metal or plastic, just if I like it! (I dislike Skymarks and Flight Miniature.)

That area is also known as the wing root.

I know it's probably blasphemy around here with all the metal heads but I don't mind some of the Skymarks a380s. They don't have quite as much detail but for the price they aren't bad. I have an Emirates that I can't complain about.
