Default JC Wings Thai MD-11

hi guys,

just received my Thai MD-11 yesterday (from Scale Model Store).

A very nice model, very detailed. Very good job by JC. This is my first diescast MD-11 and I really like it.

Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Also added pictureS showing it with the Phoenix Boeing 737 and with the Herpa DC-10.

Enjoy!

Red face Re: JC Wings Thai MD-11

To be honest...

The HERPA DC-100 looks much more realistic (especially looking at the nose sections).

As much as I like the JCWINGS/GEMINIJETS MD-11's, I have to say that the HERPA DC-10's one are here the winner...

Such a classic livery in the good old days. I would rather have a B747-200 next.

Good to see the nose gear door opens at the right angle on this release finally. But why the nose wheels are bigger than those on the KLM?

I have to agree with you. The Herpa looks much better, particularly the nose section and cockpit window printing.

Nice pictures! Looking forward to picking up mine too!
The Herpa DC-10 does look really good as well, the nose shape and cockpit look spot on and she has the added bonus of sporting all the hull antennae as well...wouldn't mind one of those...hens teeth though I presume!

a comparison with a Herpa DC-10 is always tough. I think the Herpas are really nice models and I am truly fond of them.

Have added a comparison between two Herpa DC-10s, the Thai and the KLM. I think the windows on the KLM are even a hint better than on the Thai. Both are beauties, nevertheless.

The JC MD-11 is a nice model from JC/GJ but the nose area en twisted wings (pointing upward winglets) is something that they should fix. See Herpa nose and SMA MD-11 winglets for how it must look like.

Stunning models, man! Nice job, and is the DC-10 supposed to be higher than the MD-11? Or is it just Herpa?

Yes! Finally a guy that loves herpa's DC10 aswell! I think it is the best 1:200 DC10 there is! If only herpa made all their molds as good as this one

the top edge of the winglet is parallel with the wings. jcw ones seems too pointy to some. but it is ok for me
