Default JFOX B.A Landor 747-400 'City Of Norwich' G-BNLW

Finally got my B.A LANDOR 744!! yes it is the 'interim' landor scheme with the lighter grey top. and flew in these colours before changing to world tails. had to get this one I was born just over 20 miles from the city of Norwich in Norfolk!

so in last 6 months or so they have released all 3 of the best classic English liveries of all time!!!

The grey is certainly lighter than previous Landor models, as are the recent Tristars, and the engines are definitely in the newer blue, but I would not say that it was an "interim" livery. The interim scheme has a white top and the lighter blue belly which is level with the wing root instead of just below the window line. The interim scheme also does not have the Landor red dash that was replaced by the ribbon (speedmarque) in the later scheme.

I have a few "interim" models in my fleet.. notice the white top, color and placement of the blue belly, and the lack of the red stripe..

Still a great model though - and a great addition to any collection (including mine).

You really have to get use to the lighter blue colors of the engines but it's definitely a very nice Landor 747 model indeed... Thx for sharing the pictures with us here!!

Fair enough. I thought of this one more like the engineering team using engines from the new livery during maintenance rather than a "paint shop" interim. In any case, still a great model.

Totally, I love the Caledonian 747-100 too. Never actually saw a Highland Express bird in the flesh.
I also hope to one day see a BA Landor 747-100. Landor was always my fave BA scheme and having all 3 main types in the colours 'Norwich', 'Winchester' and 'Rutland Water' (or any of the other lakes, chose Rutland for personal reasons) in the fleet would be great.

Looks nice! I want this livery, but on a -200. I flew on one back in 1988 MIA/LHR and return.
