Default Diecast Newbie has questions + My first diecast

Hey guys
Got my first gemini200 model a few days ago - the 1:200 Embraer ERJ 145 AA new livery. I gotta say.. I'm throughly impressed. I thought superdetailong my plastic risesoons and FM's and Hogans would do it but... Man.. I will definetly be getting more. Sad to think that I may phase out my plastic 1:200 Delta Fleet from FM... But it's for the better. My only question is: Which one should I get? Like the best Delta by Gemini200 ?? And let me add something: I'm starting out small, fairly small, medium, large , SUPER HUGE. And I'm collecting the current colors of the fleet. I've been eyeing the MD-80 and Md-90, but very much considering buying the Delta ERJ 145.. Just can't find it nowhere. So if anybody has info on where I can buy one BESIDES EBAY, please help a brother out and tell me where. If there are completely sold out nationwide, than can you recommend me which one has the best/most detail-
Delta MD-80/88
Delta MD-90
Delta ERJ 170(175?)
So yes a hard decision with those... They all look so good! Then again this is my first diecast 1:200 and being a plastic collector so if these are just pretty good they look FREAKING AWESOME to my eye! And what about Eagle models 1:200?
I've heard they are basically Pheonix models but 1:200 and having several rare and non rare Pheonix's myself, I think if they are anything like Pheonix they would look great. My current focus is my AA and my main MAIN focus, Delta.
Also... Does AA still go by AA? Or is it just non-abbreviated American Airlines?
And do you want to see pics of my AA ERJ 145 ? If yes then I'll post pictures tommorow
Thanks
Have a g'day!

Welcome aboard!

I'm patiently awaiting GJ200's release of the Delta 717-2BD (DC-9-95) in the current livery. I too have been eyeballing those Delta MD-88 (DC-9-88) and MD-90 (DC-9-90) to add to my 1:200 DAL fleet. I better grab them before they're gone. A Widget MD-88 would be awesome. Both AA and Delta are good choices to start a collection with due to the many number and types of equipment being used going all the way back to the Douglas DC-3 to the 787 and soon the new 737MAX-8/-9/-7.

For out of stock releases, checkout Nick at www.jetwaymodels.com

P.S. Pics are always welcomed

Welcome on the forum!

I was like you at first...collected skymarks for a while and realised Gemini is 100 times better!

Hope you can find all your delta fleet in Gemini 1:200. It might be hard, delta diecast are pretty popular normally. I own the MD-90 and it is really gorgeous.

Funny thing your avatar of that 737-200 is the airline I work for. You are a fan of the livery? I like it a lot also. It looks even better in real....

for sure. everything looks better in real... correct nose shape, correct cockpit windows, correct pax windows height, excellent landing gear detailing, all the lights precisely where they should be... and hey, the doors actually open and close too!

Yes..I have the 1:200 Delta 717 though it's by FM. I SuperDetailed it and added attenas and gear, winshield wipers etc. Now all we need is for somebody to make it diecast in 1:200. As you can see at my signature..l it says I love all 717's.

And yes the air Inuit livery is just sick looking. Pretty cool you get work on them.
(I've been trying to assemble a air Inuit fleet... I've even put a 737-200 on my priority "list" for customizing.)
I'll check out jetwaymodels.
Thanks for the help everybody!
