Thanks for these pictures.
Detolf cabinets are excellent, just like many other collectors, I added four other shelves, each cabinet can now accommodate eight wide body aircraft.
One on each shelf.

Nice collection!! Nice display also!!

I only collect a few fleets, and KLM is one of them. I think it is a good choice with plenty of models available(some would say too many). You have done a GREAT job with your fleet.

I have most of the models that you have, with fewer 747s (I have 1 IF and 2 JCW) but both '95year' and NC 777-300ERs from both JCW and Inflight. I haven't gotten a 787 yet. Still torn between the Phoenix model and the JCW model due to the low engines on the JCW version.

Happy collecting! No interest in propliners?

Great collection you have there! But be careful what you wish for with KLM: there's an amazing number of KLM models available in 1:200. Just as a demonstration: I've got 19 KLM/Asia/Cityhopper and yet we have only two models in common......

Thanks. I was actually thinking about doing that! Did you order a second cabinet, or ordered the rods and glass shelves somewhere online? And did you weld the horizontal rods to the vertical long ones?

Thanks. I've never had a Phoenix model so I have no idea off the overall quality and Phoenix vs Gemini/JC. From what i've seen on photo's gemini/JC is the way to go, for me atleast.

I actually like them both. I also liked the livery before that, I'm still hoping for a 747-400 in the old color scheme with the bigger blue and white cheatline.

I do, but somehow never bought one. I am looking actively for the Herpa 1/200 KLM Cityhopper Fokker 50.

And so many doubles, for instance the 777's being released by both JC Wings and Inflight200. I feel no need to have 2 exactly the same aircraft in the same c/s with a different registration. If only Inflight200 would make a -400 in the old-old colors in both KLM and KLM Asia livery instead of models JC wings also releases...

A few very bad pictures to show what I did to add a few shelves to my Detolf cabinet.

Not my idea, some time ago there were many threads explaining this.

What you need is certainly available from your local Do It Yourself store.
Shelves are 4 mm synthetic glass, good enough for a die cast B 747, you don't see the difference, for an A 380 some flex is noticeable but it is not dangerous, it cannot break.

Jean Pierre.

Thanks for this idea! Went to a local paintshop this weekend, and ordered 8 glass shelves. They finished 3 before closing time so I need to pick up the other 5 somewhere in the next week or so.

As you can see, the fleet has also expanded by three new models:
IFDC101014P KLM DC-10-30

ARD2029P KLM 747-300 PH-BUW Polished

HL1002 KLM Lockheed L-188 Electra PH-LLG

Also I just won an Ebay auction for the Gemini200 KLM 777-300ER in the "old" colors (G2KLM195) for just €69,95! This bargain has made my weekend. Also to be added soon are the JC Wings 777-300ER Skyteam and Gemini200 Embraer 190 in the dolphin livery.

These Detolf cabinets have the right size to display a wide body collection and with four more shelves, they are perfect ...

Congratulations.

Aaaand another model has arrived, the G2KLM195! An absolute must have in a KLM collection. And to think I only paid €70,- for this one! Can't wait for the JC Wings 77W in Skyteam colors to join her sister 777's!

Sorry for the bad quality!

Love that B747-306M the PH-BUV , seems this was the livery that came after the PH-BUW I have, since the belly is light ghost gray instead of Polished Chrome, interesting tho
My fav's in your collection are the two B747-306M's PH-BUV & PH-BUW, the B747-206B PH-BUA & the DC-10-30 PH-xxx Can't read it's reg
I'm an ex-passenger of the PH-BUA which I flew on Jan 21, 1980 from Amsterdam - Dubai - Singapore - Melbourne - Sydney
and the PH-BUW on Dec 21, 1985 Sydney - Singapore - Colombo - Amsterdam and back the same route on Jan 24, 1986
We went to NL for family visit and to have X-mas & new Years and went back to AUS in '86.

On Dec 13 - 17 1990 ( Stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 4 days in the Kuala Lumpur Mariot Hotel) flew back with a Malaysia B747-4H6 the 9M-MHL "Kuala Lumpur", still need to get me this one

Fantastic collection & photo's none the less, I hope to see more coming from you end

Two new inflight classic 747's are out now..747-206SUD's...PH-BUN (last livery) and the PH-BUK polished belly and engines. The BUN was the last classic 747 for KLM and the buk is standing in Lelystad nowadays...Really hope for the following 747's next;

KLM boeing 747-206 blue with six window upper deck and pw engines
KLM boeing 747-206 blue with twenty window upper deck and ge engines
KLM boeing 747-406 delivery colors

They will come out someday...

KLM boeing 747-406 delivery colors

They will come out someday...
Well didn't Herpa Premium Models do the PH-BUA which is the B747-406M in KLM delivery Colors right?
