Default News from Inflight, 4 engines but not on the wings!!

Guys when reading the news on the Inflight page my heart went completely crazy......... even got some sweaty hands...........

Could this be an upcoming IL62??

It must be! What else can it be???

Ohh man if only!

Quote:
2016, The Year Ahead,

Last year was a very busy year for Inflight200 where we sold more models than ever before. We introduced new moulds on the Lockheed C-130 and Boeing 777-300 which have proved to be far superior to what is available already on the market place. Inflight are always happy to listen to type wishes from the collector and this year will be no different where we will see a few surprises with a future release featuring a type with 4 engines ( but not on the wings ). There will be a new category for Inflight200 which will be popular with aircraft museum gift shops and collectors around the globe, and of course some new airliners.

Russ, I really thought it was going to happen this year.

I'm so disappointed.

Let others try to figure out what it will be. I don't feel like doing.

Comet was already released. and a Comet 1 would be still a Comet -> no new mould.

my guess would be a VC-10 or a Super VC-10, because people always complained about the issues on the JC mould.... and there are still some to be released.

Will we ever see an IL-62 in 1:200 scale? :-( Gemini do them in 1:400 so I can't understand the lack of interest. Herpa's attempt also seems to have been abandoned. Possibly Aviaboss will take up the challenge?

Don't get me wrong, we have seen some great models over the last couple of years from many of the manufacturers, but it would be good to see something other than the usual items that come up time and time again.

err yes, and has engines on the wings. should have made it a bit clearer but 1 meant the COMET 1. sadly not enough liveries to make it viable methinks.

here is my 1/72 version!

A new GOOD VC-10 mold?

There would be so many liveries besides B.O.A.C. to do.

Rocket was a good guess. Honestly, I would not mind a break from all of this. Too many 1:200. Must...budget....

Thinking VC10 aswell. Has been done but was not a great mold and has not been used for years..

A Comet is still a Comet but a Comet 1 is not a Comet IV B and a new mould is required.
Wing and fuselage length are different.

Six liveries for the Comet 1, instead of only three for the Comet IV B which was produced.

A Lockheed Jetstar would be fantastic. Such a classic business jet.

Is Inflight heading into space? Could be.

Are we going to see the Shuttle? Did the shuttle have 4 engines? Or do you call that rockets?

Not to excited but I could be interested in one but only on it's gear.

I'm more interested in the Lockheed Jetstar or a new VC-10.

The only people complain is worth it. It helps keep manufacturers on their best I guess right (EC)

BOAC, UAT, AIR FRANCE, CPA (CF-CUN lost during the ferry flight), RCAF, RAF.

In fact the Comet 1 wore the CPA livery but it was never operated by the airline, CF-CUN was lost and CF-CUM was diverted to BOAC.

Great thinking! Would love to see a representation of this classic "four"-engined jetliner.
