Default Gemini Jets JAN2016 Hints

Well the New Year has dawned upon us, and the year is moving forward. Here are the hints for the JAN 2016 releases. There are a total of 20 releases, 11 in 1/400 scale, 8 in 1/200 scale and one Gemini MAC, included in these are new moulds in both the 400 and 200 scale lines.

1/200
#1) A brand new mould has finally appeared, the Military fans are wondering why are the engines so weird?
#2) Prince once mixed this with Reign, dont know if this ever gets to land in Spain.
#3) At long last this classic version does finally appear, you might want to celebrate with pretzels and beer!
#4) This one was old and now it is new, what a shame they couldnt find this on a 722.
#5) Another new livery stands out from the crowd, although there are some who might say, "For crying out loud".
#6) The rising Sun does sport on the tail, but this one will never be confused with a Whale.
#7) Deep in the Heart of Texas is certainly quite true, but you could find this polished baby right out to the Ocean Blue.
#8) Redwoods are mighty, tall and proud, this one look better coming out of the clouds.

#1 might be a 707 mould. Hoping for a TWA MD-80 soon, too!

I am hoping that we will see the Boeing 717 mould come out soon! I would like to see AirTran, Hawaiian, and Delta 717's made.

#1 possibly a C-5M with the updated GE engines or the C-130J with the 6 blade props?

#2 Something Thai.... 788 or 789? or a Hawaiian A321? (prince purple reign...?)

#4 one of the new retro AA liveries perhaps?

7 Sounds like some sort of AA polished aircraft. Maybe a 757/767/777 due to the water part of it.

I'm guessing the Texan is a 767 OC with winglets, I'm willing to put money on it only because it's the only polished bird that currently flies over water from Texas unless it's a classic bird? #6 is Japan Airlines for sure as well!

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

It's been a long time since I ever posted here. Hope you all has passed a very nice Christmas Eve and a great new year.

I think #3 is the Lufthansa B747-8 too, but don't know if it will be the retro livery or the standard Lufthansa scheme.

Greetings to all!

#1 im hoping its a C-5M but then again the upgraded engine doesn't look much weirder than its predecessor. So im guessing "why the engines are so weird" could hint at the An-225 for having 6 engines? Not sure :P

Some intriguing hints... will be great to see Virgin America as No.8...

I would hope for the Lufthansa 748 regular scheme for No.3 but the clue does point to maybe the retro version being the first release, if so ill pass and await the regular version...

No.7 must be an AA polished bird...

No.5 , new livery... I wonder who that could be? Who has recently updated the livery? Austrian or Alitalia maybe? don't get the crying out loud bit...

I really hope 1 is the Galaxy C5 or it's the B1.
6, could be the JAL Jbird MD-11

Was thinking about a JAL MD11 aswell (in the last livery). Happy with the first LH 748 being the retro! Now I can sell my Herpa retro 748..

#1 - A400M, or something Russian/Soviet.
#2 - Wizz A320 perhaps? Does anybody do the new Flybe Q400 scheme?

If no.1 is a C-5 Galaxy, why would the engines be weird I wonder...the C-5B or C-5M are well known, so most would know what engines to expect. I would love to see the Galaxy, but I would guess this is something different...unusual engines though, not sure what they could be? JCW was showing off the C-130 prototype some years ago so I expect it's likely to be that.

No.7 be sweet if it were the J-Bird MD-11, but I suspect it is something else, and more likely with the red sun tail...as for the whale bit, so it's definitely not an A380 then. Perhaps it's a JCW 747-400 in last JAL livery?

The hint makes it sounds like it is the retro. Weird...we'd heard the regular version was first, then the retro a month later. Either way..I want both!

I think it still may be the regular version. Back in November, Gemini posted on their Facebook page that the regular version would be announced in Jan '16 and the retro would follow soon after. The "classic" hint could also refer to the fact that airline crew often generally refer to any 747 as "the classic." Who knows, maybe they ended up switching the order around.

Oh yes now I remember. But really? I don't need another one..........

Ok so unless there is a JAL Jbird MD-11 among them there is nothing interesting for me yet.

I also forgot about the C-130 model. I do also hope it isn't another C-130. While I'm sure Gemini would do a great job with it, I would hope we get something different and not seen before.

if we really see a 707-138 by GJ it'll be pretty obvious that we won't see it by AC200 or SMA...

wasn' so much impressed by their KC-135 - nose/cockpit looks better on the SMA.

Could #7 be an AA Boeing 727-200? Maybe Fokker 100? or Boeing 757-200? or...

#4) This one was old and now it is new, what a shame they couldnt find this on a 722.

I think this could be one of AA's latest 737-800 retro-jets, like TWA. Could be shaping up to be yet another US domestic-heavy release month.

#5) Another new livery stands out from the crowd, although there are some who might say, "For crying out loud".

Spirit A321?

JC Wings recently released a JAL 787-9. Not sure Gemini would release another one just a few months later. I'd be surprised if it's JAL at all...that's normally JC Wings. Gemini has only released in 1/400 and I think those releases were long ago.

I just don't see #1 as a C-130, too many others are out there. I don't see a KC-135 as it's been done before, so not "a new mould". I think it is an A400m. I would prefer a C-5, C-141 or dear Lord, a B-1, but none of those make sense with the "engines so weird" clue.

I don't think it's the A400M since a mold already exists (Herpa) which is pretty good already. Also I don't think the A400M would sell as good as let's say the C-17.

Totally agree and I don't want the A400m, but I don't see anything else that fits the weird engines clue (other than another C-130).
Could it be a B-47? That might fit the engines clue!
