Why should they have doine a Landor first? Why! They will come, and what is too muich retro? If you own have the pleasure of owing a JC 747-4 the nosecone hasn't changed from the last releases. I expect it's the same old same old with you.
Cheers

i was being a little sarcastic, because we once again see it gets pretty obvious again, that mostly ONEWORLD or Staralliance or eurowhite stuff is released.

Just a little? being sarcastic I see, that's great. How many Staralliance 747-4's has JC released in 1:200? Once again I see you telling manufactures what sells and in what order they should release. I would like you post a picture(s) of any JC 747-400's that you have before you continue your critique JC's 747-400. Now there is a challenge for ya. Don't go out today and buy one now time is ticking away.

I think JCW has their 747 design nailed. I really like the nose and cockpit windows. The jeweled landing lights look great too. I really like the Rolls Royce engine design also.

Although this isn't on my radar, it looks like a great model!

It's been awhile since this was announced, but which one is the C-IVK? Another OneWorld, or standard BA livery?

Can Marcus change the background colour in next post? The blue smudge into the dark at the back, looks like someone sliced one piece away from the bottom of the nose.

The box art only shows OneWorld and IVK has flown in OW colors for quite a while, so I suspect this is just a simple reg change for the second half of the production run.

Why not go for both and have a fleet of 4? (-IVC, IVD, IVK and IVP)

Very good looking model but I would very much appreciate it if JC Wings or Gemini could release the 747-400, 777-300ER and 767-300ER in the regular livery sometime in the near future.

IVK is listed as one of the options on the box in the pictures at the top of the thread. IVP is one of the original IF BA/OW releases (IVC with a red nose being the other)

don't you see how pointy the nosecone is - the above model is far fropm that. looks like JC copied the Herpa Premium mould.
model itself was awesome apart from the nosecone - way too much curved.

What I don't see is the reply to the challenge I asked of you! It was VERY SIMPLE. Post a copy of your model of any JC wings 747-400 model you own or can get your hands on, even if you have to get off your butt into a hobby shop and lay your eye's on one or hold one or take a look at in person, rather than cruise airliners.net. Get it? By the way, your time to post a JC model 747-4 has well and truly expired. Yes you failed. Keep surfing airliners.net for all your solutions buddy if that what's works for you and all your model critiques, ALL OF THEM, which it appears it does, from your all powerful laptop or tower PC, knock your self out. Replying any of your threads is a total waste of time for any of us. Thanks for you contribution. Yes I am being sarcastic, on thanks for your contribution. Just to make things clear

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised and impressed that you can judge how pointy the nose is by these kind of pictures. You should check out the close-up pictures instead... BTW, this is all the mater of polish...

I will back that up with the challenge offered to European Collector, to the best arm chair critique of all time. Here is why you failed in the challenge. You don't purchase any models do you? The challenge was only to reply with photos you have of any JCW 747-4's. Still I don't see any of your JCW 747-4's ? I also have the capabilitiy to look at airliners.net . It is apparently hard for you to post a JCW 747-400............... Because you can't

Thanks for the refresher! Don't even know what I have.
Once IVD is released, only need to wait for the IVK. Got the rest.

...as somebdy else said: the model actually looks good, it is the slope of the nose....

ps: i inspected the Air China 748 at my retailer and the nosecone also appeared atrange to me. that is why i did not get it (although i really badly wanted it). i inspected it from every possbile angle, and that cone did cleary differ from the one of the ONEWORLD above). you have any explenation, why i should post pics of a model i did not purchase - and to be more precisely: why should i get a model i don't like - just to take pics of it?

I quite like that JCW has even got the correct wing fairing paint, BA has always kept a curvature in line with the wing leading edge rather than the cut off most airlines went with on the 747-400. I was on the fence with this having already owned both IF200 examples, but seeing this model in the flesh and being a big BA fan, following along with ukjohna here I think i'm going to take both examples -VD and -VK!

There are 2 versions of 747-8 and 3 versions of 747-400 on their 1/200, they scrapped and built 2 and 3 fuselages respectively, slightly improvement each time, so the latest one is correct, but it also depends on the polishing by workers, the main difference between diecast and plastic.

A personal note here in that I could not shell out the cash for any of those models. Colors and details are nice, but the noise slope....

as i told you i inspected the Air China 748. and i've seen the release pics of the LH 748 being posted by Marcus once. and the nosecone in these pics look different from the ones in the previous LH748i thread/my observation at my retailer on the Air China 748.

what are you talking about, do you try to tell i am not permitted to criticize what manufacturers try to sell us?

No you are free to complain about any thing you would like to complain about as you are welcome to do. My original challenge to you was to Eye ball the latest JC/GJ /& Herpa Diecast mould... As Tonka mentioned it has been modified. (Three times). Photo's above of my JC 747's transition. BTW what has the the 747-8 got to do with this thread? ( the last time you got off your butt to review a model in person) By a long shot , way off JC's topic 747-400 is it? You couldn't even go to your hobby shop to look at the latestest 747-400 of the latest on GJ/JC/Herpa diecast mould could you to review? That is was what this reply is about. Why carry on with the 747-8 mould review which has nothing to do with this thread at all. When I asked you to get of your butt and Eyeball the latest GJ/JC 747-400. You come back with Airliners.net photos. Thank you so much this is very helpful for everyone.
