Wow, that's a lovely model. It would go nicely with my GJ 727.

I dig that retro shot! This is a lovely model although I never got to see the real flying machines myself. Did they ever fly to U.K.?

Yes, in the 1970s with the 747 and then the DC-10 National flew to London. They subsequently added Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich and Frankfurt to their list of European destinations. They were, however, a predominantly U.S. domestic airline.

I keep telling myself, don't click on that thread. There might be nice pictures and require me to order another model. Oh well...... time to go shopping. I love these retros. Must pick up now.

The "Sun King" livery was very nice. We desperately need more like it today.

I used to love to watch the National 747s arc up and away over Jamaica Bay and
the Rockaways out of JFK in the early 1970's, when everybody flew 747s both foreign, and domestic, a classic livery,on a classic ship : ) Buon Natale !!!

Yup. into LHR. 1st DC8s then 747 then dc10
I have logged the DC8s N108RD N109RD
and 747s N77772 N77773
unfortunely missed the dc10s as moved away.

You need a period poster
