I hate disney for this

Does anyone know what exactly happened to the pheonix and jc r2d2 787s that were cancelled? Were they just never produced or did they end up circulating in China (basically, is there hope that we will ever be able to snag them off ebay)?

I will never stop hoping, I wonder if it's possible for JC to get legit licensing from disney (maybe they can pull something off through ANA).

Even if it makes the model more expensive, I'd get it!

Marcus, I hope you're reading!! My hope is that one day, you guys will be able to pull it off.

Honestly i think once all the publicity stuff is over we may see these released sometime in 2016. One can only hope. White box special :envy:

That is some plastic corporate model, I'm not too interested in those. If I wanted a not great plastic model i would just wait a while for hogan

There have been several popping up on eBay

I'm interested in the jc high quality die cast mold

Both JC Wings and Phoenix canceled their Star Wars releases. I don't think they were every produced, if so I think we'd see them appearing on eBay. The only one I have seen on there is a plastic corporate model.

Even if they were released I'm not sure any of the US Dealers would even accept them as then they would be liable for selling them.

Yes,that is the Lysia version. I have seen people asking as high as $800 USD for it. Beyond "You must be out of your mind?" IMO.

I don't understand why people are so angry at Disney. They weren't the ones producing a product using another company's trademark without permission.

U.S. customs is on high alert for any unlicensed Disney/Star Wars items, so it would be a minor miracle to sneak any (decent) quantity of SW models into the U.S. within several months of the movie release.

Now if someone wants to get a few pieces imported into the U.S. then I wouldn't be surprised if they were successful, but I'm not taking the chance.
