superb...even the grey is not dark at least from the photos and will look great next no my inflight 200 united 747-400 first release that was released about 10 years ago wow thats a long time not to have a stable mate. Been waiting for this one for a long time. Preorder for sure....United was the launch customer and also the first delivery customer.... its a SELL OUT. Great detail...love the Pratt and Whitney logo placement on the engine.

Fantastic release! This one is a must have. Thank you JC Wings!

Any chance for a 737-500 in the battleship gray livery?

YES!!!!! I have been anxiously waiting for this release since I started collecting. The UA battleship 777 was what I flew on my first trip to Europe when I was 15.

As for the pics, the model looks amazing!! Well done. I will be pre-ordering the day the JCW officially announces the release.

Must have this - Nice model ( will my debit card stand it - maybe not !!)
Have to find a supplier who CAN GUARANTEE the supply of one of these, after the non supply of a KLM "Last Flight" despite ordering within 24 hours of announcement. GUTTED - like a few others on this forum.
Maybe Marcus , you could pencil into your production schedule -
1 - First passenger flight / launch operator of MD11 i.e. Finnair
& 2 -The aircraft used in First passenger service by a KLM MD11 - would tick the box on a lot of wish lists with that livery.

Great start, for what hopefully be a series of "Battleships" with the significance of being a Launch customer model .Will sit well with my 772 Cathay , which was 1st 777 built.

I think you just did.

The engines are too dark to tell much about them, but the pylons do look wrong to me too. Looks like they are more GE-90 pylons, not P&W.

The rest of the model looks incredible. It looks like the radome printing is getting much better, much better. It is hard to tell on a livery with the cheatline through the center of the nose, but the nose looks a little different in a good way and the cockpit windows look really nice too.

I guess TONKA means that the engines look like every other 777 engine from JC Wings but the specific aircraft has P&W engines. However I don't even know if the shape of the GE and PW engines on the 777 look different?

If the engines are correct are not, I will still make my purchase because it's not very often that we see the Battleship colours being produced & I hope it's the beginning of something special, perhaps we can maybe also see Gemini 200 also come up with the UA Battleship 767-300...

Is there really that much difference in visual appearance between the P+W and GE 777-20 engines? I know the RR has a slightly different, very slightly flattened lower half intake, but the two American engines look almost identical to me. I always looked for the metal strip running back from the intake to tell it was GE, otherwise they look pretty similar.

P+W

GE

RR

I guess the exhaust system on the GE looks ever so slightly longer...maybe?

Great comparison pick above... all three engines to me are subtle differences, wouldn't put me off buying the battleship 777

The PW and RR are looking the same dims wise. The GE looks bigger.
Judging the model they look like PW engines to me or am I missing something?

this issue has been dealt already, jc factory has made the same error as they did on the roll out version ordered by IF200

see the link below.

engines are totally wrong, but if you are not familiar with the 777 paticularities I would say go for it as this paint scheme is really good

Wrong engines, but unfortunately it doesn't matter to a lot of people, possibly even me. It will be a long, long time before this livery is done again on this airframe, if ever.

Could somebody tell me specific what is wrong.

Sorry only knowledge of Russian aircraft............

Lovely model and very tempting, but i would rather wait for a 747 in this livery if anyone is likely to do it or re release it!

I'm in. I think it looks great. So many 200 scales at once I want, need to move the funds around. Make the situation look better than it actually is.

Those GE90 engine pylons look great with the PW4000s . That wing dihedral continues to be an eye sore for me on the GJ/JCW 777-200s. I grew up flying these birds Transpac, sorry not for me. Maybe when they decide to do the 747-422 they will get the engine pylons correct.

Is anyone planning on pre-ordering this UA 777..??

I love the Battleship colours but I'm still not sure if I should order this one or wait & see if IF 200 will also produce one...

A wonderful guy at ADI said, "Don't even try to let this slip by." So, I didn't.
