I obviously failed "Ornithology" in school. I always thought it was a goose as well. Now that I really look at it,yep,it's a Swan.
Dont worry man! They are all Anatidae !
Just Donald on sterroids.

No, there isn't, and its funny, usually its the nose that gets criticized ad nauseam, not the hump. However, there are a few tiresome "IF is complete junk" types (or blatant shills for certain competing manufacturers) that inevitably make the same negative remarks in virtually every thread. I suppose the guy who likes to put rulers on top of his models will be along eventually as well.
Looks really beautiful. Have the same one on preorder (with the swan). I had not bought any of the million KLMs released in 2015, but I couldn't resist this one. Can't wait for it to arrive.
She realy looks great!! Thanks for posting. Nice details and grey wheels! Thank you Inflight 200!!

God, look at those engines!!! I've always wanted a 747 with these GE puppies for engines. Really nice attention to detail. Again mine's the polished version. Cannot wait to see those first pics.

Been doing this for so long that I actually know who you are speaking about.

Looking forward to seeing Leonardo da Vinci too, those GE turbines look spot on, can't wait to receive mine! It will look good alongside my newly acquired HP 744 too.

This model looks really nice. Nice, crisp graphics, colors look spot on. And I noticed that the landing gear struts and wheel rims appear to be painted gray. I personally think that is a BIG improvement and really enhances the look of the model.
The only things that I would change is to eliminate the 'valley' in the upper roof deck, and revise the wing roots. Everything else looks nice.
Yes she is. There is something about this livery that reminds me of the time back then when KLM flew over my house into Sydney airport before they withdrew services. In my opinion this was KLM's finest livery ever. Different CEO's or accidents do change livery's for airlines and that's the way it goes. The GE power plants look much better than the RR211's of Inflight's 747-2 & 3's. The ARD special polished will not be around very long, for that matter all of these KLM 747-3's. A great release Inflight well done

I like it....but I thought the bottom was supposed to be polished not grey. Though I like it and I'm still getting it.
The ARD version will have the polished belly, these IF200 versions feature the grey belly. The grey belly is from later on in the aircrafts lives, prob from end of 90s onwards I think. You can see the ARD release does not even have the 'KLM Northwest worldwide partnership' logo on the hull, indicating this livery period is more of the 80s/early 90s.

Thanks much for the insight! I'm really looking forward to this release with the polished underbelly look. I will definitely need more shelf space....
It means: Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij, Royal Airlines in English. They added the Dutch for all outside the Netherlands.

IF did a good job with these GE engines on the BCal 747, and they look equally great on this KLM bird. I'm also looking forward to the polished version, looks set to be one of the hottest releases on the IF mold in quite some time.

Yes, this is very strange that 'Tonka' hasn't popped into this thread? It's been a few days that this thread has been going, and no sign of him on the radar? He must be on christmas vacation? T7
Wow! Nice looking model!! Congrats to IF200 on this fine looking Landor. All the best to the BA Landor collectors with adding this beauty to their fleet! Thank you for posting, Ledoctor! Merry Christmas Cheers! T7
Whats with the lighter blue engine nacelles?! Looks like they've put United Blue Tulip shade on them!
edit: looks like I've answered my own question...preperation for the later 'utopia' scheme...nice, but I'd rather the engines had been matched with the rest of the hull.
