Thumbs up WestJet Disney Frozen-themed Plane

Has anybody posted about the second Disney themed 737 from WestJet yet? I know the first one still isn't available in 1/200 either, but I'd love to see the Magic plane alongside this bird on my shelf:

The Disney Frozen-Themed Plane

Yes, there are threads in General Squawk Talk and 1:1 Scale Commercial Aviation regarding the new livery.

I'd much rather see models of the Alaska "Cars Land" and WestJet "Magic" livery 737s than this one.

I would love to see both of these in 1:200 scale.
Giving the licensing I dont see it happening.
Hope I am wrong.

I don't understand why licensing is a problem. Gemini has done WestJet planes and Gemini has done Disney planes. What's the issue? There's a 1/400 Magic Plane...

I would think Disney would like the advertising.

Olaf was the best part of that film.

You would think....but Disney is almost impossible to work with on getting licensing. They like to produce the products themselves.

The only Disney model that I know that Gemini has done was the Qantas 767 "Planes" livery. Done a few years ago.

Phoenix did the Alaska Disney planes but I'm sure those were not licensed. Gemini won't do it without licensing.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for the Alaska "Cars" and the two WestJet Disney planes to be done. Really wish the licensing could be granted.

Sorry, but I would like to have all of the desired regular liveries to be produced before a whole line of special liveries hit the marketplace.

An occasional really 'special' livery is ok, but since many models are produced for airline customers or by license, I think we will continue to see more regular liveries than special ones. And I agree with Travesuz, GJ doesn't do unlicensed releases.

Despite being a special livery I think if Gemini got the licence they would sell alot of the WestJets. Just my opinion. To bad the Pheonix 1:200 where not made before someone stoped them from being made.

Well, I think the market is pretty saturated right now with regular Alaska Airlines 737 models. Bring on the remaining Disney-themed liveries!

Ah, newsflash... There are other airlines liveries other than Alaska that can be done.

And as was pointed out before, GJ doesn't have the license for Disney products and probably never will. And they don't do unauthorized liveries. Good luck with your dream anyway, even though it has little chance of actually happening IMHO.

If you want another Phoenix/Eagle 737 release then maybe.

Maybe Aviation200 will release one. But I wouldn't buy one of their 737-800s anyway.

No "newsflash" needed for me. The subject of the thread is a Disney-themed plane, and most of the Disney-themed aircraft are done by Alaska.

I would get this one not because I have any desire to own a WestJet model or because I like Frozen, but my 4 year old daughter loves Frozen and she would get a kick out of this model. Obviously it wouldn't be purchased so she can play with it, but it would be her model to keep in my display case. So if they made this one I would get it.

This is why I got the Qantas "Planes" 767. My youngest son loves to come look at the "Dusty" plane in my cabinet.

I've been on the fence about buying that model. Not sure why? Maybe because I've not seen the film. I probably should, ay? I love Pixar films.

Isn't it just that Phoenix doesn't have a 737-800 mould?
Would love the "Magic" one - looks fantastic in person!
JC is doing JAL Disney 747, so let's see some more!!
I'll agree with AV200 737; don't care for mould, no matter what scheme on it!!
