Default Gemini200 Westjet 737-700W

Hello all,

I am happy to announce that I will be picking up my brand new model this afternoon-a Gemini200 WestJet Boeing 737-700W-from Threshold Aviation in Toronto!

This will be my first metal model, my second WestJet model, my second 737 model, and my first GeminiJets model!

I bought this model because I am a huge fan of WestJet, and I have flown with them for 2 round trips. This will also be a great model because it has antennas, and the only other model with antennas I have is the Hogan Lufthansa MD-11F 1/200 Plastic.

Hope you'll like it!

Tartan is sure to show up, the question becomes will it be on a new livery -700 or the current one.

Really? I am disappointed by it. Extreme wing flex, bad nose gear, nose shape, lighter colors then -800...
I only have it because I flew on one a few times and love the -700

There would be an infinite number of designs of this Scottish cloth ,that could adorn the tails of these Westjet aeroplanes !

Google in YOUR surname - there is bound to be one with your name on it !

That's really too bad. I was 'sort of' considering this one, although I do have the -800. The lighter colour is a decided deal-breaker for me. I guess I'll just stand down. Thanx for your input.

Hello!

I have just received the model. I was there are Pearson to see the CF-18 and the Snowbirds! They were awesome.

It is just the stand and the gears that bother me. The stand doesn't even fit! The stand stem just comes off and my model just falls off the stand! The gears were okay, but they don't fit fully in, and they have this little yellow rubber thing on it.

Yea a lot of gemini 200 seem plagued by inconsistent quality control issues. Especially in the past year or so. It'd be nice if that little problem would go away but I've just learned to live with it unfortunatly. I have this model as well as the 738 and Q400 and I think the best quality one is the Q400.

This the tartan:

It's a WestJet 737-700 painted with the special livery.

Yeah it's not the worst model out there but for sure not what I was expecting like the original Delta 737-700 from Gemini which looked perfect mould wise.

Threshold is a great place to deal with. Too bad about the issues though you have with the model.

We did not want this model due to the wing flex and the stand.

So Daniel honestly how do you like your model..??

I know this 737-700 mould ain't perfect but at least it looks good to me, about the landing gears, what I did & usually do with my Gemini 200 737 models, I just take away the landing gears & put it in flight mode, it looks much nicer that way... If the medal stand don't work for you, try the Gemini 200 'narrow' body wooden stands, they work better & the models are also more stable...

Hello!

I honestly sort of like the model, because it has many flaws and the stand. I put the gears on already and superglued it in place, so I can't return it or exchange it.

The wing on the left is sort of strange, considering that it doesn't flex like that in real life.

I have now discovered numerous paint chips on the horizontal stabilizer, and the APU. If anyone could help me solve this paint chip problem, please tell me right away or PM me.

I got the Hogan 737W awhile back and despite the lack of antennae and plastic construction, wouldn't trade it for anything. Only mod I did was to add white covers over the outer wheels and paint the remaining hubs grey as no respectable 737 has bling-chrome rims all the way around!

I have that model too! That Hogan 737W WestJet was my first model. Wouldn't sell it or trade it too.

Best bet would be to purchase another one, but before you do so, give it a complete look over at the store
