Default Air Canada 787-9 - Gemini200?

What are the chances of seeing the Air Canada 789 from Gemini200?

The 787 looks great in the Air Canada livery and the recently delivered 789 would be great to add to my collection...

Heres a video of the gorgeous 789 landing at Vancouver...

https://youtu.be/TzRfNjn31u0

I have the Inflight200 Air Canada 788 in my collection but really hoping to see the superior GJ/JC mold used, preferably the 789...

While we're at it, can Gemini please also provide something for the retro-lovers? For example this one:

I would also like to see an AC 787-9 from Gemini! Chances are, someday it will come. Gemini has a history of both AC and 787 releases - all they have to do now is to merge them!

Wrong.....I'd argue that one...The color of the Air Canada models is greatly affected by light conditions, especially when dealing with any kind of overhead fluorescent light bulb. I have seen the color tint of the AC 787 appear to change several shades because of that..The A330 CRJ and 787 are spot on where as the 777 had issues.. Gemini used the exact color pantone provided by AC which went on to be approved by them...for someone who takes amazing photos you of all people should know this..

I really want to believe it's true. I have AC A330-300 but even at best lighting the color doesn't come closer to real aircraft I see on the internet.

AC color is a real issue! even LIVE, side by side some aircrafts doesent seem to have the exct same color. 330 and 320 seem to have different colors.....well, it complicated for sure

This may be the most absurd comment of the year..The color does not come close to the real aircraft on the internet?????

My good friend if you or anyone else is basing your selection criteria based on photos, then I'm done..The pantone colors supplied to Gemini from AC must be wrong..And their approval process must be a joke too..I would not buy this model...Thank you for the heads up...

By the way, When I'm at a large airport like LAS or any other major airport where there are airsides full of the same airline even aircraft lined up like Southwest at the gates, I always notice planes are slightly different shades from sun fade and weathering and coincidentally those are the same ones that make it to A.net Who do I complain too about the different colors??? If you know kindly advise me....

Yes, exactly. Those planes have seen sun, rain, snow, and of course, flying at hundreds of miles per hour. They will not look like new even after a month of flying.

Sorry crownvic, the Air Canada A321 has the most accurate color of them all. I photograph them and I can tell you for sure they rarely ever look that dark (only in overcast winter light). The A330 and CRJ were terrible colors and I sold them because they were so much different from the E190 and A321. Gemini simply has the wrong color.

It is easily seen right here: Look at the color of the box art and the color of the model, the model is nearly yellow!!

The color of this model is "greenish" and not yellow at all.
Maybe the color calibration of your monitor is off Jan.

This color is just as some of you all describe above.
I make all my pictures in a room, without direct sunlight.
But since it was sunny today, i took the model outside and the color was really different.
I am sure that when this model is diplayed in a glass cabinet with spotlight on it, the color will be different again.

Im just happy to see the model... a real beauty

I flew into YYZ in September and noted the variations in real life aircraft so i dont mind subtle differences in the models...

Another beauty from Gemini

Color on my monitor is fine, I do professional editing so not the issue here. I'm not convinced by the color sadly so I won't be buying this 789.

I am excited too seeing that Gemini made the Air Canada 787-9 and can hardly wait to get it. Colour is of no importance, like I said in an earlier thread, Pefection or not, I am happy with the fact that it was made

The colour of the model in your photo looks as I would expect it. No issue here.

the yellowish tinge is from the color of the light bulb in the room..It does not affect all colors on all models just certain ones...I took the AC 787 into 2 different rooms, in and out of a well lit curio, and outside on a bright sunny day too, and the color was different in all 4 situations

Yep. We Canucks get lucky sometimes with the diecast models. My local diecast model store called me last week to pick up my 1/200 Air Canada B787-900. Will scoop it up this weekend! Cheers! T7

I think this will still be on my "Buy" list even though the color appears a little too dark. I love the 789 and the AC scheme is just too unique to pass on.

Of course not.

I am not stupid. I have been warned by other DAC members, so I know better

I took it outside to take a photograph and now it is safely back on its shelf in the hall AWAY from sunlight like all of my models are

I took it out to compare the colours between it and the other Air Canada "Mint Toothpaste" livery models I have, so decided to snap a photo.

Your so right, it does not concern me...Its just one of several useless comments you post daily on this site..A majority of your posts are rushed with no thought or the time to read what the thread is about. The post above is typical identifying a 777 for a 787 and the great commentary associated with it..Or the one complimenting a DAC poster how impressed you were with HIS collection when he clearly said multiple times he was just the photographer and those were not his models..Not a big deal by any means but another rush to post without reading what was going on. Oh lets not forget and I quote you, "it was a joke" in reference to a thread early on looking for young boys here..That was well documented...With a record 1200 posts in 6 months, congratulations you are well on your way to being a legend on DAC..An honor far greater then graduating Bishop Moore..(By the way an insult to that school). In time most of us myself included will skip right over your posts.. For now quite entertaining, as we all want to see if you can top yourself with more irrelevancy.

If you need a list of charities in the Central Florida area, I can supply them to you. You seem to have lots of spare time on your hands, you may want to look into donating some of your idle time which you seem to have a lot of ( based on this site and god knows what other ones) on something far more self fulfilling.

I was going to say I find you quite irritating here, but now I look at it as entertainment to see just how useless you really are...Im sure others will agree.

Here is a challenge, as of now you have 69 posts for the month of November and its only the 7th. I along with everyone else here will be very disappointed if you don't make it to 2000 posts by Dec 31st. C'mon we know you can do it.
Were all rooting for you!

Shame on me for interrupting myself while watching Grease to respond to this buffoon..Im missing out on Olivia Newton John

And long may you continue to show them to us here. I don't collect 1/200 myself, but some of them shown by other members here, a feast for the eyes.

Neil.

Please DO NOT talk like that to Mr Crownvic

I do NOT appreciate such comments.

I knew what he meant and the comments was directed at what you said about my models.

If you do not like what I say, then too bad.

Be pretty cool getting a shot of your 777W and 787-9s together there Rocky, indeed your entire Air Canada fleet! I don't think I've seen anyone post any fleet pics in these colours before. I don't own any AC metal yet, well, apart from my IF200 70s liveried C-GACA 747
