Default Hints for sept gj models

As we approach the dog days of Summer in the North, and Winter winds to an end in the South, time for some hints for the September GJ releases.

This month we have 18 releases in total, 9 1/200 scale, 9 1/400 scale and that includes Gemini MACS.

1/200
#1 This fine French Bus will move you from Paris or London without much fuss.
#2 This Orange tailed twin could take you from Waikiki to Waco, and back again.
#3 This Dream looks good from your seat, it was recently announced you will get more room for your feet.
#4 The most wanted widget does finally appear, its polished belly gleams like a mirror.
#5 A modern glass COCKpit this has replaced, its home is found at the home of the Grace.
#6 The Rugby World Cup this does promote, never mind if it looks like a boat.
#7 Everyone will complain about this 773, its a corporate order, so don't take it out me.
#8 A new aircraft with a new paint scheme is really neat, but these Scimitars cant be beat.
#9 If you like watches and chocolate, this is really neat, but this aircraft will soon leave the fleet.

1/400
#1 A private cabin can certainly be great, the problem is, where do you sit on this giant A38?
#2 A diverse fleet they have acquired, it took plenty of time to get these all wired.
#3, #4 Fleet builders delight for numbers 3 and number 4, these models keep rolling right out the door.
#5 A type of this aircraft has long not been seen, this one comes covered in a nice shade of green.
#6 A gallant old Jumbo, for this one is true, it certainly looks grand in its new shade of blue.
#7 This tooling is one that many said retired, its reappearance will make some people inspired.
The last two models come from the MACS line is true, you can enhance your collection with C17s times 2

I'm going to call Delta MD-88 in the Widget colors on #4. Seems that one is wanted all the time, and we already have the 727-200. And probably another Emirates 773 for #7.

I'd say those are all good guesses. I'd forgotten about the MD-11. I'm sure it's either that or the MD-88. I also think you're right about #9

#6 Emirates A380-800 Rugby World Cup 2015 England scheme.

Could #2 be an Aloha Funbird 737? Seems like an odd release for GJ. Trying to think what other airlines have orange tails. And I'm not sure how literal the hint is re: whether the airline actually flies (or flew) a Hawaii route.

I think #6 and #7 are Emirates.

I really wish #9 was a Swiss SFO livery A340, but doubtful.

I am trying to think of that too. Hawaiian as some orange on their tails, but it's mostly purple. Allegiant flies to Honolulu (i.e. Waikiki) and they have quite a bit of orange on the tail, but I don't know what Waco has to do with that.

Also didn't someone else just announce the Swiss San Fransisco A340 in 1:200? JC Wings or Inflight or someone?

Yeah, I don't get the Waco reference, either. But like I said, I don't know how literal the hint is. Maybe Braniff? But GJ has never released a Braniff model in 1:200.

Yes, Jet-X announced the Swiss SFO A340.

The only airline to operate in Waco is American, maybe the PSA heritage livery with American titles?

I think this is right - although technically it was seat width, not seat pitch that was announced as being increased.

I think #9 is a Swiss Avro. The a340's are staying in the fleet for the foreseeable future, just with far fewer. If it is an Avro it would match up with #7 of the 1/400.

#3 This Dream looks good from your seat, it was recently announced you will get more room for your feet. British Airways 787-9.
#4 The most wanted widget does finally appear, its polished belly gleams like a mirror. Delta MD-11

I also hope #4 is a Delta MD-80.

I think
#1 Air France A319 is correct
#2 no clue
#3 KLM 787-9. KLM recently announced more leg room in their coach seats, including 777 and 787 models.
#4 MD-11 Widget. Hasn't been done, and everyone wants it. MD-80 has been done.
#5 Cargo 767, probably FedEx
#6 no clue
#7 Probably an Emirates 777-300ER but hopefully a different airline for a change. Maybe ANA?
#8 I think a Southwest 737-800 scimitar is correct.
#9 got to be a Swiss A340-300

I thought the same as MEDANI007 about #1 being easyJet.

'Without much fuss' = Easy

This being said though I have a feeling easyJet are not the most forthcoming for allowing licences for model replicas.

It hasn't, but a Widget MD-80 has and the 2 types are similar enough that I'm not sure it would qualify as a long over due and much requested new model.

Just saying.

Considering SMA has a much nicer MD-11, I'm hoping they will release a Delta MD-11 soon, so I won't have to buy the GJ version.
Let's hope #4 is really the MD-88.

I think this is it! HAS to be the FedEx 767. Glass cockpit and "grace" references the new plane and Memphis the home of Elvis "Graceland" and the home of FedEx.

Sunwing doesn't have 700s at all. Their whole fleet are 738s. They may have a few leased 700s from time to time though.

Let's hope #4 is really the MD-88.
I hope it is too! MD-88 was my first thought when I read the clue.

Some great clues there... really gets the mind working... but I have no idea on most...

I think the FedEx 767 is for sure, along with an Emirates and the Delta MD11 hopefully...

Anything from any airline from my signature would be welcome

Hoping for the Delta MD11 and KLM 787!! Would love a polished DL MD11, still have the old Herpa (Hogan mold)

With the exception of the Delta machine in widget livery, these releases get more and more boring over time. Mostly repetitive modern eurowhite stuff. Pass.

KLM 789 hasn't been rolled out the factory yet. Makes it more likely that #3 is a BA 787.
