Default Canadian Focused Models

A number of us have interests in Canadian focused models, whether it be by operator, ie Wardair or manufacturer, ie Canadair. I am willing to build a list which can be sent to the manufacturers, ie William and Bob.

If you reply with items in the following format, I will build a survey we all can kick at should there be enough interest.

Operator, Airframe, Registration and/or livery, scale if not 1/200 with commas as delimiters.
examples:

Westjet, 737-800, Disney,
Avro Canada, C-102 Jetliner, House,
Avro Canada, CF-100, Airforce Museum Trenton ,1/72

We're still missing the classic Air Canada 767. That would be a number for Gemini, IMHO.

Exactly! A Rouge, current livery and the prior black tail will do!

Would love to see the back tail A340-500, A320 or DC-9.

Rockybudgeboa, you missed flying PWA? They were a great airline. I flew them lots of times from Comox to YVR and home again. Their afternoon flight to Comox used to fly over our house, gear down and flaps set, headed for the runway. I used to love waiting at the tiny Comox civilian terminal (1 gate) watching for the PWA 737 to taxi into view, park in front of the window, and deploy its internal staircase from the forward door. No gates, a little wagon for the luggage, just a metal detector for security. Friendly staff, efficient service, I miss that airline dearly.

Sorry for the thread hijack, I'm getting nostalgic in my old age.

" Gimli Glider" do you guys remember this when this aircraft was new and in instruments where in metric and not imperial. Fuel loaded way too short. The Gimli Glider in Air Canada's colours of the period. With a nice box with stats & crew. Also a time to recognise another amazing pilot that saved all onboard & on the ground - "Captain Robert Pearson" like GJ did with the US Airways Hudson River release

I'll correct you on that; flew PWA to Florida(Tampa) in March '78 out of YYZ.

Great flight: got to go to cockpit, sit in jumpseat. What a thrill for a young aviation buff!!

Had same Captain there and back.

My 1/72 BPK 737 is going to be PWA...

Going back to thread;

Jazz, CRJ-100/200, but ANY airline in 1/200!!

Canada 3000, 757

Air Transat, 757

WestJet, 737-800, Disney

Sorry, already have my 1/200 PWA 737...

I apologize

I would love a Nordair 737. Yes, I know I said this before, but this was the FIRST ever plane I flew on and when we got to the Airport it was parked next to a Air Canada 747 and I said to my Parents that I do not want to go on that little plane

Air North Boeing 732 - C-FJLB (first commercial jet airliner owned and operated in the Yukon)
Air North Boeing 732C - C-GANV (last remaining 200 series still active in the fleet)
Air North Boeing 734 - C-GANB
Air North Boeing 735 - C-GANU (first plane painted in the new livery)
Air North Boeing 735 w/winglets C-GANH
Air North Hawker-Siddeley HS748 C-FCSE (currently the most active propliner in the Yukon)
Air North Douglas DC-3 CF-CUG "Lady Lou" (this plane has a can-can dancer on the tail. Can't go wrong!)
Air North Douglas DC-4 C-FGNI "Yukon Trader" (paddle wheeler on the tail. Again, a slam dunk)

Okay, aside from Air North, there are definitely a few must haves for me:

*Buffalo Airways Lockheed Electra

*Canadian North Boeing 732 or 733. I'd also love to see a Dash 8 in the full current livery.

*First Air Boeing 732, 734, 762, ATR 42, ATR 72, or Herc L-100. Would also be cool to see a "historic fleet" HS748, DC-3, 727-100 or 727-200.

*Air Inuit Boeing 732, HS748, Dash 8-100 or Dash 8-300.

*Northwest Territorial DC-3 or L-100 Herc

I remember PWA quite well from when I was a kid growing up in Prince George, BC, during the late 50s/early 60s. They always seemed to have a lone DC-3 parked off the side of the great white wooden terminal that was the home of CPA during those days. Anyhow, it was there that the 'aviation bug' bit me. Great days, for sure.

As a tribute to my early days, I built a 1:144 PWA DC-3 to keep the rest of my 1:144 CPA collection company. It was only fitting.

I can't remember the forum I read it on, but when this came up several years ago, someone had it on very good authority that Air Canada had said "There is no way in hell this model will ever be done".

I was thinking more of the current mint toothpaste livery. We made a few trips to Paris on those.

Anything that has to do with Canadian Airlines, first time I went to visit I flew with them, I know IF 200 did in fact produce the 747-400 & DC-10-30 but never seen a Gemini 200 767-300... So many Air Canada aircraft models but too few Canadian ones...
